Maxim Tours: Europe Tour Review Tour Start Date July 8, 2025 For us a couple visiting Europe for the first time, this tour effectively presented key highlights of Western Europe. Highlights (Switzerland: Jungfrau, Mt Titlis & Lucerne, Holland: Maduro dam; Austria: Swarovski Crystal Museum, Vatican, Venice Rome, Florence & Paris: Eifel Tower). Enjoyed the tour manager Saurabh's service. His commentary in Hindi language was particularly refreshing. Meals provided were mostly average and with similar Indian menus. Disappointed as we were told that certain meals will be provided to experience local tastes. Pizza and fries were provided during a lunch in Florence, Italy. The Pizza that was provided by an Indian restaurant tasted like warmed up frozen pizza. The very first Indian dinner provided in London was of poor quality with poor service. Also, we once had a packed lunch on the bus and a packed dinner in our hotel room. Fortunately, on our personal breaks in Italy we on our own were able to taste delicious pizza at a local Italian restaurant and dosa at a food stand in London. Also, during our extra day in London we were on our own able to taste delicious meals at famous Dishoom restaurant. We were disappointed that we could not visit the Louvre Museum in Paris even though before booking the tour my wife had verified if the tour included that. Having been to Niagara Falls multiple times we were not interested in visiting Rhine Falls. The tour manager indicated that the diversion to Rhine would be possible only if all members agreed, yet he took open vote for considering that option so we couldn’t freely express our choice in the voting process. In contrast to experiencing beautiful attractions in Switzerland, our experience at the Moveinpick hotel at Zurich airport was extremely disappointing. We stayed at that hotel for three nights and despite requesting maid service before leaving the hotel each morning, we had no maid service. On vacation we washed our own coffee cups and picked bath towels from reception. On the last night, when we noticed no maid service upon returning to the room, we informed Saurabh and dashed back to the reception to complain. The attendant asked us to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes promising to immediately provide maid service to our room. Alas, after the 30-minute wait in the lobby, another attendant informed us that no maid service could be provided as the maid staff is through a contracted agent and they don’t follow their orders. Disappointed, we returned to room and again sent message to Saurabh. At 10:40pm when we were tired, we were offered to switch room which we promptly declined as at that time we were simply exhausted with no energy to switch room at that late an hour. I am early riser and need to eat a bit to take my morning medicine. At Novotel hotel I went to their regular breakfast room. As soon as I made my tea, I was asked by the attendant there to leave that place and go to the next hall set aside for touring Indians. I was the first person to get to the second unmarked hall with closed doors and buffet breakfast just set for “touring Indians.” There were two tea coffee machines and both were non-operational and there was no attendant to help. Frustrated, I went to the attendant at the premier breakfast hall to see if she could send someone at “the breakfast hall for Indians” to fix non-operating tea/coffee machines there. After about 30 minutes, one of the two coffee machines was fixed – the other remained non-operational for both breakfast days making touring Indians line up to make their tea/coffee. Visit to certain locations like Heidelberg, Germany, Golden Roof in Austria, and Perfume Museum in Paris could be eliminated from the trip as they didn’t turn out to be popular attractions.
In summary, because of the first two high points, my wife and I would say that the tour did provide us with highlights of Europe as we expected. Unfortunately, a portion of our meals and hotel experiences didn’t come close to our vacation quality...

Customized itinerary was very well planned with something new to explore each day. All activities were planned and executed very well. Our tour manager was a very friendly person and flexible who took care of all of us, he was all smiles with service. We thank Hima Jain for detailed collaboration, communication. NOVEMBER 2024 We again traveled with Maxim tours to South America in November 2024. We had a great time, one of the best vacation, with top guides throughout and extremely knowledgeable, all internal flights were all on time and very smooth execution of this vacation. Accommodations were top notch. Considering knowledge barrier, local Guides were true heros helping us out when needed. Thank you Hima Jain at Maxim Tours for such a wonderful experience

Read moreI booked a long wishlisted trip to Iceland, last month with Maxim Tours. It was my first experience with a new travel company, based outside India . Although we had a shaky start with flight cancellations and hence disrupted itinerary on day 1, the situation was handled exceptionally well by the owner Hima Jain ,who ensured a backup team to attend to the arriving guests and made all possible arrangements to salvage the situation . The hotels chosen were in scenic locations , and we started most days with breakfast with a great view from the dining hall. The itinerary was well planned , ensuring great coverage of the vast landscapes , and never felt too rushed as in many groups. Being an Indian vegetarian group , all meals were arranged accordingly without any hitch . I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of served veg food , given the remote locations . They even managed to serve a delicious, full chaat counter on one evening, which deserves special mention . It kinda completed the feeling of being in Paradise !😊. Also extremely creditable is the fact that they planned a packed hot meal which was carried in thermostable boxes one day to be served to us in the wilderness, where there was no scope for veg food visible for miles .. The promised itinerary for each day was followed , nothing was skipped or rushed , and we ended each day with Joy in our hearts , looking forward to the next day. The tour manager, Gaurav Miglani, led by example, always going far beyond the call of duty , to help everyone in any required matter . With his genuine concern for all his guests and a disarmingly cool attitude , he ensured that everyone was well taken care of. Time management was never an issue , and he took extra care of many elderly travellers, making multiple rounds for people who needed hand holding support to navigate the uneven terrain while walking to some of the waterfalls and other sightseeing spots. Despite occasional glitches that are a part of any journey , Captain Cools positive n harmonious vibes tackled everything and ruled the day ! As they say , the best things in life are not things... they are the places you visit, the people you meet , and the memories u make along the way ...
