Went here with my wife on a Wednesday night. Parking was a bit of a hassle due to the crowded billiards bar next door, but arrived to a small, cozy, and mostly quiet space and was seated immediately by the owners.
We started with the Thai ice tea, which was sweet and delicious. It just had the right amount of sugar and cream. For appetizer, we ordered the vegetable soup, spring rolls, and summer rolls. All came quite quickly. The soup was very flavorful with a nice selection of vegetables. I don't remember what kind of broth was used, but I enjoyed drinking every bit of it. The summer rolls were cool and crispy, with the fresh veggies and cilantro adding some good flavor. While the spring rolls were a little on the greasier side, it was still good. However, my wife and I didn't care for the peanut sauce that came with it. For my entree, I chose the flat noodles with chicken, carrots, and broccoli in a light soy sauce. I asked for medium spice, but it came very quickly and it was a bit on the milder side for me. It was still really good with a nice amount of chicken and vegetables, and it helped with the various sauces given by the host. My wife asked for vegetarian fried rice to go, but when we came home, we noticed it had egg, so she couldn't eat it. However, I was able to and it was delicious with various vegetables in it. For dessert, we had a banana wonton pastry with ice cream. It was a great ending with the sweet bananas in the crispy wonton, and the ice cream cooling off the spices we had. It was definitely a very delicious dinner.
The service was very caring and genuine with the owners taking care of us. When we were seated, we were giving complimentary banana chips to enjoy, as well as grapes in the entree course. Before getting the check, we were also given a nice pineapple tea too. We were only the ones in the restaurant for most of the time, so the owners did take a break for their dinner as well, so it did take a little time to order dessert. The atmosphere is very simple, with nice Thai decorations and tv showing the news and sports.
This place is definitely great if you want delicious Thai food at a reasonable price. Definitely will be visiting again...
Read moreI had the worst experience ordering UberEats with this restaurant. UberEats was not the problem, the owners were ridiculously rude, unprofessional and uncaring of how they treat their customers. I had ordered UberEats on the app. After I called the restaurant to ask them if they serve sticky rice and how much was it because it was not on the menu. The woman abruptly yelled on the phone "it's $6!" I was surprised because it use to be $3. When I asked her how big the portion of sticky rice was so that I can know how much I should order for my UberEats food, she was rude and jumped the gun and said "sticky rice not $3, you don't want to pay $6, you steam your own sticky rice then" I was taken back because I was not here to argue with her, I simply asked how big are the portions because before it was $3. She rudely hung up on me. It shocked me and I had to sit there for a minute. I've never been yelled at like that before by an owner when all I asked was price of sticky rice. I called back and she picked up, before I can say anything she says "no sticky rice for you!" Then hung up again. At this point I was livid so I called back to cancel the order, I believe her husband picked up the phone. I told them to please cancel my order because that was unprofessional and rude of her to jump to conclusions and treat a loyal customer like that. He didn't seem to care and said "ok we cancel no problem" They did not care about cancellation because they knew they were still getting payment for it from UberEats. After an hour of speaking to UberEats and letting them know the situation, they refunded me. Thai House of Orlando Restaurant use to be one of my favorite restaurants but after being treated this way by the owners with no respect and pure neglectful attitude, I will never support them again. Food may be good but when owners treat customers in a disrespectful manner, I will not support that kind of business. They just lost a really good customer and sadly, they probably wouldn't care. Unprofessional, no customer service skills and rude. If I could rate 0 stars, that would be my...

Thai Island Orlando Restaurant is a real mom & pop operation.
I went there yesterday to place a take out order and I’m sorry I didn’t take pictures instead.
Not only pop is in the kitchen cooking while mom is taking care of the front end, but sweet old grandma, with her delicate demeanor and careful little steps, cleaning the tables she was, with a big and even more delicate smile on her face.
I don’t know much about the Thai cuisine in Orlando, but I do know, Ft Walton Beach has to be the capital city of great Thai food in America.
So, since it was there where I had the best Thai food in Florida, I will use that as my Thai cuisine comparison scale.
In Ft Walton Beach, I have to say, I had the best Crab Rangoon ever!! I ordered Crab Rangoon last night and it was not even close. Actually I don’t think they used any crab, just all cream cheese instead.
Of course I ordered the Chicken & Basil (I always do) and it was extremely tasty. I think, I would have enjoyed the experience of the Chicken & Basil if I would have had it in the restaurant though. The take out version was packed in a soup container so imagine my reaction when I had a spoonful of that incredibly spicy dish!
The Phad Thai, well, we couldn’t figure out which one it was. None of the several dishes we ordered were marked so we had to improvise.
Not only we improvised but guessing what everything was, and what went with what, got a bit too confusing so we ended up mixing all the dishes together which kind of ruined the whole experience.
But at least, my other two dinner guests were not as picky as me, myself, or I; and according to them, as long as it tasted good, who cares what it was!
Yes, when it comes to food I’m extremely —let’s see, how would you say it... umm... choosy —no... umm.. finicky —no... hmm... fastidious —YES!!...because there’s nothing I love more than real food made to...
