It's a very basic Colombian bakery. Lots of options, but no prices anywhere. No display names to anything. I went with my Colombian mother in law, and luckily she can tell me what the food was. But, I would love to know the names and cost of the items.. we had "pan de yuca"- it's was good, normal crunch, and flavor. "Chorizo with the arepas"- it tasted very flavorless. I've gotten "Colombian" chorizo from Walmart that had more flavor. "Chicharrón con arepa"- this was the best thing we had. And even that could have had just a bit more flavor. "Empanadas Colombianas de carne" - again, kind of lacking flavor. (All the input I gave, my Colombian mother in law agreed on) All the food was still hot. The service was good, the bakery looked clean also. There's no place to eat, it is just a "Order & Go" type of place. They did have very delicious looking desserts and whole cakes, but we didn't try it. If I'm in that area again, I'll definitely stop for the chicharrón as I felt our whole order was pretty affordable, and I'd like to give it...
Read moreI frequent this place for breakfast. I've always received good service and attention, until my last visit. I bought several empanadas, and they asked me what sauce I wanted. I said "spicy," and they gave me fewer packets of sauce (spicy) than the number of empanadas. I asked if they could give me more sauce, and they charged me for it. I asked why? I'd never been charged for this before, and they responded with attitude, "for every two empanadas, they give me one sauce!" And I'd bought one empanada before, and they still gave me the sauce for free. I still paid for everything, but I still think what they told me didn't make sense. On previous visits, I clarified that I'd asked for spicy sauce with other products that weren't empanadas, and they've still given them to me without any problem or additional cost. Was it the whim of the person who served me? It wasn't appropriate. It's worth noting that the women who serve there are generally very friendly and provide excellent service, especially Maria del...
Read moreI have been a client for many years. Today I was craving empanadas. I was in Kissimmee running errands. Even though I was very hungry, I didn't stop at any restaurant. Well I purchased a coffee and 2 empanadas. I asked if they were fresh and they told me yes. When I tried eating one, it was cold, not even crunchy. I went back to the store and I was told me that they were not able to do anything. I left the empanadas there and left. I called the manager. She told me that they couldn't lose two empanadas. When I told her (Paola), that she was loosing a client, then she offered me the option of me coming back and that she will fry them for me. I rejected the offer been that I was on my way home. I don't look for free food, but I wanted what I paid for. Not...
