Hills of Cove Golf Course — Local services in Copperas Cove

Nice Golf Course, Has a good Driving range. There is a sign at the Driving Range that says you must use the mats.

The reason for the low score is as follows:

Driving mats need to be replaced if they don’t want you to drive off the grass as they have needed to be replace over 3 years ago. and are torn up and thread bare.

Not sure what the Tee times are? 10 mins apart or 15 mins?

Definitely need to have someone at TEE 1 to verify Tee times!

Last time I played on a Sunday 14 Sep there was 4 groups ahead of me trying to Tee off at the same Tee time that I had reserved for 1000 hrs.

Why have Reservations Tee Times if you aren’t going to enforce them.

During the week I have notice around 1400 1 1600 kids that are practicing golf are running around in golf carts with no adult in the carts.

but yet the Golf Marshal will stop you if you have your son or daughter driving the golf cart even if you as an adult are sitting next to them in a golf cart.

After playing nine hole while turning in the golf carts I said something to the desk about the issue of 4 groups trying to tee off at the same time that I was reserved for. Was giving a BS answer that this is a group that shows up late a lot of times and basically was told they were trying to fit them in.

We were really looking forward to our round at The Hills of Cove, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. The course was in poor condition—fairways were overgrown, making it difficult to locate balls even after hitting good shots. The greens were scalped yet still played incredibly slow, which made putting frustrating.

To make matters worse, course maintenance was happening during play. Groundskeepers had carts parked directly on the greens, getting in the way of approach shots and chipping, which is both unprofessional and disruptive.

We also took advantage of what was supposed to be a “kids play free” day for those under 15, but were still charged full price for my two sons, aged 14 and 12. That added to the disappointment.

Overall, it was not the experience we expected or hoped for. I would recommend checking the course conditions and confirming any promotions in advance before booking...

A friend and I are here on work from Wisconsin so we had to rent clubs. The rates are fairly cheap. Course quality is like concrete. We were told over the phone two people can rent one set of clubs. That was not true. You also have to return carts at 4:45. We then paid for 18 holes with a cart and rental clubs -we had 2 hours to play. We got stuck behind a big group for a while before we played through. We got through 9 holes and it was 4:40. We were not allowed credit for our last 9 unless there was an “emergency” and we couldn’t walk our last 9 because we rented. Nobody told us that. We paid for 18 and there was no way to play our last paid for 9 after 4:45. No refund or credit offered. Just some communication would have been nice considering golf isn’t a...
