I am an unconditional fan of Pilates. I quit boxing and bootcamp five years ago because of back problems. Unexpectedly, Pilates brought me the intensity, the depth of work and the well-being I was looking for. I have never looked back. With Conscious Movement, I found an amazing team of experienced instructors. Mostly classically trained, they deliver challenging and creative classes, leveraging all the equipment that this great studio offers: mats, reformers, towers, chairs, suspensions and all sorts of props. Whilst this may sound daunting, the beauty of Pilates, and the beauty of this studio's philosophy, is that anyone, any age, any level can join in and enjoy the classes. I am fairly advanced, and it is not unusual to be in class with beginners, pregnant ladies or elderly people - and everyone takes the class according to their needs, listening to their body. Conscious Movement runs classes of four people, therefore instructors are able to give each of us individual attention, correcting postures or helping to go deeper into that core engagement or that spinal twist! This studio is part of my routine, my balance, my life....
Read moreI love love love this place. Have been running 12 miles a week, with a busy work schedule, so needed some flexibility and stretching. Concious movement is just such a haven. Deandra is the most passionate and knowledgeable owner. Shelby and Amanda’s classes will seriously challenge you and make you rethink about Pilates as being “just stretching”. I leave shaking after most classes. It is resistance and strength training disguised as gentle Pilates. Every class is not only different but challenges your mind and body. Deandra and Tomika’s classes are wonderful too. I just end up having days off around the other instructors’ classes more. I cannot recommend this place more. From the cleanliness, to the calmness, to the music, to the other students, this place is wonderful. I used to hate Pilates of any sort. Now I wish I had more time to off to take more of Shelby’s classes and Amanda’s. I really look forward to seeing Shelby's masked face...

I went to visit a few studios and tried them, but I was never super happy in any of them (they were mostly crowded, or not super clean, or instructors just yelled the class without really caring if you are doing the exercise well or not). When a friend recommended Conscious Movement, I went to check it out. I instantly knew that this studio was perfect for me. The classes are very small (4 or 5 people), the instructors are there to guide you all they way and it’s impeccably clean. The instructors are interested in your progress, and they challenge you when they think you can do it. Then Covid hit the world and the studio quickly adapted to offer on-line mat classes, which are also incredible. I have been doing those for a year now. I love all the instructors that I have had, they are very professional, specially Deanndria and Shelby. I highly recommend...
