Words cannot describe how much I love this place. Bottega La Dolce Vita is a hidden jewel in the Coral Gables area when it comes to Italian food and delicacies.
In regards to the products offered, this little store has a wide variety of Italian sweets, cheeses, cured meats, and ready-to-go food that will literally make your loved ones and friends fall in love with it. Every time I visit the store I also feel adventurous to explore which new products and brands they have; if you are a regular client, the owners will keep asking you for feedback on their products and change/introduce new ones accordingly.
My love for Spanish cheese, ‘jamón ibérico´and for other European products was my only problem with this place because they were mainly focusing on Italian products. However, they recently introduced new products from Spain, and if I am not wrong, and other European countries.
Most importantly, when you go to Bottega you are going to see that the owners are very knowledgeable on the products they carry (you’ll even learn about some history and manufacturing process of the products), and the special treatment given to each customer. I can’t stand when I go to buy prosciutto in a different place, and when I get home I realize that it’s been sliced like in very thick pieces of the meat. In bottega, I just let them know how I like it to be sliced and I won’t have to worry about it (thinly sliced is delicious, and the San Daniele one will melt in your mouth).
One last point. If you are looking to make a gift for a special occasion or just need something to bring to a friend’s dinner, ask for their personalized baskets. I assure you that you won’t be...
Read moreCustomer service was extremely rude! Parking is impossible to find and the manager has a nasty attitude to patrons! Would not recommend going here at all!!!
Update: I parked in the back and realized I was in their business parking spot and was asked to move to which I obliged, the car next to me was pulling out so I informed the employee that once he pulls out then I will (2 cars can’t pull out at the same time if you’ve been in their alleyway parking!) The employee then went in and got what seemed to be the GM or owner to which he nastily was yelling at me to leave. To which I also let him know I’m waiting for the car next to me finishing pulling out, so I can reverse from the spot without any issues.
The way the GM/owner chose to handle the situation was nasty and honestly just unnecessary. I’ve been a customer at this location for a while now and never had a reason to stop coming seeing as they have international products. There’s other Artisanal markets especially at the Coconut Grove Farmers Market on Sundays and they aren’t rude to their customers in this manner. This last interaction was eye opening and I’ll make sure to take my...
