Do not bring your vehicle here!!! I don't even know where to begin I'm so livid. Customer Service is a joke and they lack the basic knowledge to even be qualified audio technicians. ( 1.) I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago stating that I needed a full system install and that I had the complete system. A mono block 1500/1amp, A 400/4 channel amp, subs, sub box, head unit, JL Audio wiring kit, a Twk 88 Dsp, a jl audio DRC-205 bass knob and the big 3 upgrade wiring kit. An hour after I drop my car off I get a call stating that they needed to adjust the labor cost because I only stated that I wanted door speakers installed. WRONG!!! I stated all the above because the guy who took my call to schedule the appointment asked me if I wanted the DSP tuned as well. ( 2.) I get a call an hour or two later stating that my car is a unicorn and they have never seen nothing like it because of the 10 channel sound system that comes stock and the guy said that I would need a 10 channel amplifier and they could not bypass the system. Also stating that the aftermarket head unit does not fit when in fact this head unit is designed purposely for this specific make and model car. So I told the guy to just install the big 3 upgrade wiring kit and mount the subs inside the box. We hang up and I immediately start researching how to bypass the stock sound system to install aftermarket amplifiers and speakers in my car. I find a YouTube video of the 10th gen honda accord touring (my car) that states that if you are intending on keeping the factory head unit that you will need the "Axxes AXDSPX-HN3" to bypass the factory system to install aftermarket amplifiers. 3 hours go by and I'm thinking to myself they should have been done with my car if they are only mounting subs to a box and installing my big 3 wire kit. So I called and asked the guy is my car ready? He said it's going to be a while because they figured out how to install the monoblock amp to the subs and are currently in the process of installing the two by using a line output converter which he previously stated that the ones they had in stock have already been sold. I said OK, then I stated that I had found a solution on how to bypass the system and I told him about the "Axxess AXDSPX-HN3" which he stated and i quote yeah we looked at that "they are hit and miss" while sounding annoyed and eager to get off the phone, before I hung up i asked him to call me when my car is ready. ( 3.) I received a text saying that my car is ready for pickup. So I leave to go pick my car up. Once I arrive I notice that they have drilled a hole in my center console to install a Rbc-1 bass knob. This isn't the bass knob I provided nor did I ask them to install. I pop the trunk and see my 1500/1 amp mounted as well as my subs with bare wires showing (no sleeves, no covers, nothing) "you know", like how professionals do the job. ( 4.) I walk inside to pay the bill $1,162.52 was the total. They charged me $300 to install "3 wires" that I provided. They charged me for a LC2ipro which I still haven't located in my vehicle because guess what? Nobody cared to show me what was done after I paid the bill. The customer service sucks and so does the installation. Now I have to find another audio shop to hookup my 4 channel amp, my door speakers, my dsp, as well as the proper bass knob and possibly the aftermarket head unit. I will never go back to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWOW! I will be sure to take all of my security and sound needs to this place in the future. I am in awe of the generosity that Travis showed in my 20 minutes at the store. Let me explain. My girlfriend has a 2003 Kia Sorento and since Sunday evening we were unable to start the vehicle. The alarm system went haywire and every time i turned the ignition key the alarm would go off non stop. Come Monday same issue. I was outside for hours trying to figure out a way to get it started so i can take it somewhere to have it looked at. I unplugged the battery, looked up youtube videos, tried everything i could time and time again and was unsuccessful. It was so bad that i had the management office at the complex i reside in call me about noise complaints. It was really stressful. I walked to an NTB near my home and they told me they could not help me but recommended i call Freemanās. Boy am i glad i did. I ended up having to call a tow truck to take it there since my attempts to start it were futile. When i got there i was holding my breath, having already paid $70 just to get the vehicle there and without a clue how much more it would cost me to fix the issue. I had spoken to Travis earlier in the day and was informed that if it was factory installed alarm they probably could not help me and sure enough it was but within 20 minutes of being there i see the suv pull up to the front of the store. My jaw hit my chest as i sat in the main area. He walks up to me and hands me the keys and the faulty alarm system that had been not installed correctly and tells me the issue has been resolved. I thanked him for his expertise and fast resolution and when i asked him how much it was for the service he goes āyou seem like you have been through enough stress today (i had called the store 3 times before taking the vehicle) so no charge. The only thing i am going to ask of you is a for a google review.ā Well Travis, here it is. This happened about 30 minutes ago and i am sitting on my living room after missing a days worth of work happy that i went to the right place and that we got the situation resolved. Thank you man, really. For your generosity, expertise and great service. If you are reading this review please go to Freemanās for security and sound needs. You will be satisfied. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFreemans car stereo was good when Josh was a sales consultant back in 2021, that is when I gave this establishment 5 STARS . I came to this establishment of Freemans Car stereo in Cornelius because of that one reason I had a great past experience with them. 2 13 2023 I drove to this establishment and spoke to John Williams about getting my stereo upgraded and other accessories, also a rear view mirror with GPS installed in my wife 2014 honda pilot. He gave me 2 estimates , one for my wife the other for me. John Williams also gave me an insulation date for both vehicles. This date was Saturday 2 18 2023 ,which was a Saturday. I called Friday 2 17 2023 for a definite confirmation. They said he was busy with another client, so he would call me back which he did to tell me he can't do my wife's gps because the manufacturer of the gps went bankrupt, Ok I was very very disappointed I couldn't get my wife a gps built in into her car. Josh apologies and then tells me he definitely get my Toyota avalon done Saturday 2 18 2023. Me and my wife show up 2 18 2023 Saturday so they can install my new audio system for my 2009 toyota avalon. He then tells me I'm sorry I didn't check your audio package to today on Saturday. Your face plate for the audio receiver was broken, I can order another one but we can still install the rest of the system in your car. I told him no Installation if you can't do the entire job. Ok, he said he would give me a call next week. He calls me the following Friday to tell me he can fit me in for my 2009 toyota avalon installation Saturday 2 24 2023. I told him I already got my car installed with all the upgrades I needed by another car shop on Wednesday 2 22 2023. Freemans dropped the ball too many times for me. The good thing about this experience is I went to another establishment looking to just give me a quote. Then getting my car upgraded the SAME DAY. I ALSO SAVED OVER $1,000 DOLLARS. Me and Freemans is a done deal. NO MORE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ME. People need to understand you as the Client have all the power, to say yes or no. I SAID NO, MY MONEY WAS WELL SPENT AND SAVED SOMEWHERE...
