SAFE and FUN! If I had to narrow my experience at Lake Norman Pedego Bikes to two words, those would be my descriptors. The experience they offer is very underrated and underappreciated- not to mention remarkably affordable. I was looking for a way to celebrate my first day of summer break (I’m a teacher) and wanted to surprise my wife as well. Neither of us had ever ridden an electric bike and didn’t know what to expect. Grace and Tom (the owners) extended a very warm welcome and Grace took the time to thoroughly explain the different features of the bike- she made it feel like she hadn’t shared the advice a thousand times before and we appreciated her efforts. She offered a suggested route that included the greenway that connects to the parking lot and we were off. We both felt SAFE on our bikes- everything was in working order and was in tip top shape. Not only was the bike SAFE, we weren’t sure of what to expect on the greenway and quickly found why there were so many relaxed couples as well as those who were walking/running/biking solo. We might have even gotten lost (not paying attention) and were appreciative of how friendly and willing people were in getting us back on course and even taking our picture for us at some scenic parts. Pretty sure we even got one of our Christmas Card photo pics at one of our favorite scenic parts. The whole community experience made for a FUN, SAFE, and incredible experience. We booked a ride from 10-12 (I highly recommend that time) and hated to see it come to an end. If you’re looking to make a day of impressing your significant other like I was, there are a ton of great restaurants to choose from in the area- we kept it simple and had a great lunch at the nearby Pita Pit. You can also quickly be at Lake Norman for a walk and relaxing view at Jetton Park. Makes for a great way to spend a day. Finally, our family enjoys Geocaching. If I had one regret, as we were nearly back and ready to return our bikes, we realized we had forgotten to see if there were geocaches on the greenway or nearby our route. If anyone knows who reads this before we’re able to get back and find out, please comment and...
Read moreI was first introduced to Pedego via an amazing Cornelius Police Officer at a festival at which I volunteered. This Police Officer gave me a thorough tour of his Pedego bike, and eagerly spent time with me to answer all my questions. He truly loved his bike! I was intrigued. I did not act, due to a recent wrist injury. Then, months later, I met Grace in the Pedego tent at a different festival. She went over all the features of each bike, said I could come in for a "test-drive", and was sincerely just generally extremely helpful and enthusiastic. When my wrist healed, my friend and I randomly stopped into her (and her husband's) shop. Grace actually remembered me(!!), my history/story, and she and her husband Tom did a fantastic job at answering all our questions. I decided I needed to take a bike for a spin. My friend made it clear he was not purchasing; this would just be my bike. Regardless, they gave us 2 bikes and let us loose!!!! Well. Both my friend and I were completely sold once we could climb that EVIL hill with EASE!!! We purchased 2 on the spot, plus some accessories from Tom, Grace's extremely knowledgeable husband. A small glitch occurred with the delivery, so this shop chose to go waaaay over above and beyond, hooking me up with a much needed accessory that I had been eyeing. They even delivered the bikes that afternoon!!!! Talk about customer service...!!!! Riding this Interceptor bike has been a game-changer for me. It has opened up a whole world I was previously not able to easily access, due to medical conditions. I 100% give this store a 5* review. The owners and their bikes are top-notch. If anything goes wrong, the bikes are covered under warranty, and I can just take it back to their shop. Easy peasy. I feel like if ANYTHING went wrong, they would just fix it. If you are in the market for an e-bike, please just go here!!!! Gracie and Tom...
Read moreWhen we began researching electric bikes, we knew that we wanted a quality bike, a good warranty, a bike that fit our ability and life style, and preferably to buy local. The ability to have someone to ask question of, and to get repairs was especially important to us since this was our first experience with an ebike. We eventually found the Pedego Boomerang bike online. It seemed to have all of the features we were looking for. We were very pleased to find that there was a local store in the Lake Norman area where we could go to see and try out the bike. The owner, Tom, was so kind and knowledgeable about the bikes. He set up a bike for each of us from his inventory of bikes and gave us instructions on how to ride. We took turns riding through a nearby neighborhood and we were both very impressed with the power and features of the bike. Most of all, they are just fun! Once we had decided to purchase bikes, Tom answered all of our questions, and helped us pick out accessories for our bikes. My bike had to be assembled, so Tom personally delivered the bikes to our home a few days later. This is exactly the customer service we were looking for with our purchase. Tom and his wife Grace have been available to us for questions by phone and text. Grace even delivered and installed a part for us a day after delivery of our bikes. We could not have asked for a better experience from this family owned local business. We are so excited to find more adventures with our bikes. We have confidence that Tom and Grace will be available to help us with anything we need along the way. We highly recommend this business. Go see Tom and Grace and find a bike...
