Willow Wood Coffee — Restaurant in Cornelius

Very cute place, visited twice this week. The first experience was excellent. Service was wonderful and I liked my latte (and my son loved his donut!). Loved the seating options. Our second visit was not as enjoyable. Different employees were working and it made a big difference. Our drinks were brought out fairly quickly but my lid wasn’t secured so when I picked up my cup the lid popped off and coffee poured down my arm. I ordered two pastries for my son and I and after waiting 20 minutes I had to go ask for them - but no one was behind the counter so we had to wait several minutes for someone to notice us. Once we got our plates I realized I needed a fork, turned around and the employee was already in the back room and no forks were out on the counter to grab and use. Pastry was delicious but would've liked a fork to keep my hands clean. Most of the time we were there the employees were in the back. Been here a couple of times since they opened. I’m actually a tea drinker and it is nice to find a local business that offers loose leaf tea. So far, I have had their Morning Fog with oat milk and just a hot Masala Chai. The service is friendly, the place is very clean and the ambiance is nice. Most tables have charging stations or outlets and the do offer wifi. They also have some outdoor seating for the beautiful weather. They offer a wide selection of non-dairy milks which I appreciate. My sister has had their coffee and she is a fan. Not bitter and they make it super hot just how she likes them. Shopping center has parking though it may get a little tight during busy hours....

Came all the way from the UK and found a new favourite coffee shop! First thing you get when you walk in is a warm welcome and a nice chilled atmosphere. Sit down and use the complimentary phone charger. (Nice touch) and if you're a gullible English man then your fiancee will point out the jackalope and convince you it's real! 🤣 On to the important stuff. My americano is pretty hard to mess up, but damn that was nice coffee! The other half had the "bluestone " and said it was to die for. Then........THEN.......the muffins! Omg those muffins!
