shipping. They were fairly agitated as it was already boxed up and ready for shipping and they had to unbox it. Seems common sense to show a customer a picture of a $3300 product before shipping it out. It took about three days for those pictures and there were some nasty cosmetic blemishes. We were transferred to the owner who was an angry unhelpful man who took no accountability for the blemishes. He said, "oh well, there are natural blemishes." We have a lot of leather furniture in our home and understand natural blemishes, but these were smack dap in the front of the footboard and could have easily been placed in less conspicuous places. In any case, the owner agreed to replace the front section, with no apologies about the lengthy process or lack of communication or quality control. After the bed was repaired they shipped it out. Unbeknownst to us as they didn't communicate, it was in route. So after another week I inquired again and they said that it takes 10-12 shipping days and then the shipping company would contact us to deliver. At day 14 after shipping, we called COCOCO again to check on the order. Soon after our call (surprise surprise) the shipping company called for delivery. When we received the bed there was a huge flaw in visible sight. Could have easily been put in a less visible section of the bed. Pretty bed. Over priced. No follow up with us along the way or after it was delivered. Angry owner over a simple fix and zero communication along the way without us inquiring. Would not recommend this company. Money hungry, poor customer service. Give your business to a company that cares like Great Blue Heron or...
Read moreEDIT: within minutes of posting the review below Cococo contacted me to let me know they were making new upholstered cushions and pillows so we can rotate everything and have the couch last longer. It seems based on their response here and via email that it was an honest miscommunication with production facility (understandable, couch was purchased early 2022 when there were lots of COVID-related delays everywhere). I've been impressed by the customer service in response to this review and during the ordering process, so I'm updating my review accordingly!
Loved all the options and the fact that it could be custom-made to suit our needs, however, I'm disappointed after owning this couch for a little over a year. Mainly, the cushions have a lot of sinking/sagging and we are unable to rotate the pillows/cushions as we anticipated. We were told during purchasing that the leather couches do not completely cover the cushions with leather but the fabric ones do: we opted for fabric so we could rotate the pillows and cushions (among other reasons). However, when the couch was delivered we discovered that the upholstery does NOT actually completely cover the cushions. That means we are unable to rotate/flip pillows and cushions for the wear to be more even. In the year since purchasing, the cushions and pillows are sagging considerably. Not being able to rotate pillows/cushions as anticipated is unacceptable after paying $7k...
Read moreWow wow wow is all I have to say. I placed my order for my Kilgore sofa, with 25" seats and Ellis Oxblood leather back on 7/6/21. Due to Covid supply chain issues, the wait was going to be to November. No worries, I was in no hurry, and my representative Kathryn kept me informed along the way.
More supply chain delays forced even longer delays to where I didn't receive the sofa until the 2nd week of February, but again, Kathryn kept me informed along the way. It turns out that this worked out perfect for me because I had to relocate for a job, so having the delay saved me from having to move the sofa and risk damage on a moving truck. It worked out so perfect that it was able to be delivered the day after I closed on my new house!
The wait was worth it, and that's the least I can say!
The sofa is large, comfortable, and the leather is thick and gorgeous in oxblood. Something different than brown or black.
It's nice buying exactly what I want from an American manufacturer despite the supply chain issues caused by Covid. That isn't CoCoCo's fault and they managed it as best as they could, and again, Kathryn kept me informed along the way.
I'll definitely be ordering another piece in the future, but it'll be after I'm more settled into my new house and the supply chain issues clear up a bit. For now, I'm going to enjoy this big, beautiful sofa! The picture does not do this leather...
