Went to the pharmacy. The lady said I can have my rx delivered for free. That saves me trying to find a ride. The wait was pretty short. In and out in less than 10 minutes. Edit: I have been coming to this HEB for a year now and only have had 2 problems. The first was when I went to get a thing of light bulbs and because the font is so small on the packages I went to the service desk and asked if someone could help me with finding the correct ones and the person there said to just go down the aisle and get some. Turns out I got the wrong one and had to come back and return them. I asked for help again and the lady said oh, no you'll have to come back while smiling and wouldn't get anyone to help. I have low vision problems that's why I was asking for help. On several other occassions I have come in and have started noticing the employees talking about me stating that I'm homeless and I'm not. Apparently because I have some abrasions on my legs, they think I'm homeless. I have only lived in this area for the last year and this kind of wrong assumption is detremental to the way people see me. My tip for other patrons of this store, if you work with animals, outside, or anything that leaves a mark, the employees here will assume you're homeless. Wear pants and long sleeves when coming in. Hopefully my experience doesn't happen to...
Read moreI purchased an individually wrapped pepper jack cheese snack bag Thursday morning when out on My walk. The second piece of cheese I removed from the bag was heavy and dark with black mold. The mold matched the niggardly snottiness of the store manager of 38 years, Walter, is the name I remember on his badge. He wanted to refuse Me a refund and deny that the market sold that vile bag of cheese. It was Hill Country, the HEB secondary bargain brand. You would think they could offer something a little conciliatory. I have been sick two days off the piece I ate out of the package I ate. That screwge of a manager did not even move the other packages from the rack even though every one looked as though the jack had melted some from poor refrigeration. HEB, you have bad managers. I will include a letter to corporate in My upcoming Herald articles. How dare you condone...
