I am extremely disappointed. I went in to purchase donuts for the Driscoll Children’s Hospital PICU staff who have been caring for my son the past few days, and unfortunately I was yelled at for coming in asking if they had 4 dozen glazed donuts available for purchase at opening. There were 3 dozen on the shelf but they would only let me purchase 1 dozen, so I ended up asking for a dozen of another donut which is said I could purchase, but was yelled at for leaving 6 on the shelf. I ended up leaving with 4 dozen, but not before being yelled at by a Hispanic lady with dark hair telling me I am what’s wrong with people in this world, and I shouldn’t have an attitude. On the verge of tears I told her I was there to purchase donuts for the staff and even showed my parent hospital bracelet. I waited until the open sign was on before entering, but I should have known when I started getting dirty looks for being there right at open. The product is set out to be purchased, but i was told if someone else came in there would be not enough glazed donuts for them. Last time I checked at least your product is being purchased no matter what time it is. I ended up spending over $60 on donuts when I should have left and driven to another location who would appreciate the business. I should have let this establishment take the risk and having to throw them away or give them away at the end of the day instead of being purchased. I have been going to Shipley’s for over 28 years and have never had a single issue, especially when trying to do good for others. I will never be returning to this location, and will continue...
Read moreDon't go here. They are heartless and way over priced. I'm a husband and father of three. I was sick so missed work all last pay period. I gave my wife and kids my last 11 dollars so they could get milk and cereal. I was starving cause I hadn't eaten In 2 days. So while I was waiting on my bus, I noticed 239 on my cash app. So I went inside and asked the lady how much donut holes were because like I explained earlier I was starving and didn't have money until pay day. Crazy thing was she said 239 the exact amount I had on cash app . I said "well, that's all I got." Then I explained my situation about how I was starving because I was out of work last week and gave my family all my money for them breakfast. I said "Is there anyway I can come back on pay day and give you the 15 cents for tax?" She said , "No! Wow! People these days are heartless. I remember when donut holes were free. I will no longer eat there with their seriously over priced day old donuts . I mean it cost 18 dollars for 2 kolaches 2 chocolate donuts and a milk a couple weeks earlier..I love the donut shops ran by...
Read moreI had just begun going to this location for the past couple of months. I have had an outstanding experience, both the donuts and the service from the people early in the morning. Today my son asked me to place an order for his football team I understand it is last minute, however it is not my job to feel guilty for what I order. The first lady who took my order was extremely kind and told me, all might not be available, which is OK with me I said don’t worry, whatever you have, I had a second lady come to the window had the audacity to make me feel guilty for ordering what I did. As a local Busines owner, my work is not to tell my customer what they should be doing to avoid me losing business. It is In best interest to kindly request a customer for a better experience to place Large orders in advance. Not making me feel guilty because I placed a large last minute in order and finished all your damn...
