This review is towards GameStop, not the staff I encountered.
In short: BROKEN ITEM sold. Sold as new item. Refund request denied.
Context: I bought a Star Wars waffle maker as a gift at a CLEARANCE price.When I went home and checked, the waffle handle was already broken.
This store is one of the stores that denied my refund / exchange request out of their policies. The customer service online was very slow, and when they finally replied, they suggested me to go to a store and (attempt to) return it; they mentioned that they could not handle it online somehow.
The price might be desirable, but only if the item is actually new and not broken. I do think that this is a rather unfair sale. I could have happily purchased another game or so if I were kindly issued...

Went in again last night to purchase a controller for my husband and returned this morning to return it after discovering the only thing wrong with the controller we already had was user error. When I walked in this morning, the manager was working again and he greeted me by name.. it sounds silly but that means a lot to me. I finally questioned him about it for my ps5 edge controller ( he was offering $20 when that controller was only used once all accessories included, mint condition) he answers me that he couldn't test the controller because it "crashed his system" so he deliberately chose to omit that he scanned it as defective! That is dis honest and some business practices that are deplorable.
