Miss Donut & Bakery — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

I'd never been here before, but I had a random craving for donuts and happily decided to try this place out. The lady behind the counter was incredibly rude, even though the place was empty, she kept rushing me between my selection of donut with "hello? What else?". When I pointed out a weird confection and asked what that is, she sighed and mumbled, I couldn't hear what she said so I asked if she could repeat what she said and then she yelled "Bran muffin! Anything else?" I paid for my donuts, before she dismissively remarked "Thank you", I picked up my bag and she yelled again "thank you!" trying to kick me out. I don't know what I did to deserve that but apparently that old lady doesn't appreciate business coming her way. I rarely ever eat donuts, but the next time I have a craving I'm never going back and certainly won't recommend this place, I'd rather drive to another city...

I came in an hour before closing and told the asian gentleman behind the counter that I didn’t want yogurt but wanted to maybe buy one of the donuts left (there was a small assortment still out) to which he very rudely told me there were no donuts to sell. The store was also quite messy and a sports game was on and was blaring so loudly I could barely hear him. Clearly he just wanted to watch the game and not be bothered. I would’ve considered buying a yogurt but the yogurt stations were gross and messy. I won’t return here ever again. the best donuts are at Whinchells and the best yogurt…pretty much...

The elderly women who works there is always very rude and will always higher up the price depending on your appearance she will add extra donuts to your bag and charge you more when you stated how many. Once you tell her she will take away the donuts you have already payed but she had already taken your money and no refund. She will also not tell you the price and if you ask for the receipt she will hide the originals and make another so you won’t see she charged extra for something not bought. The rest of the employees are very kind and generous they’re the reason...
