Absolutely the worst customer service ever . First they advertise a bathroom on property and will not allow you to use it . I have a severe medical issue and had to beg to use the bathroom and tore scar tissue attached to my bladder and kidneys because of it . Second took them a week to email my contract . Wich led to me miscalculating my due date as I had a busy month so referenced my email of the co tract for due date . Then Miranda sends me an email a week after my due date saying she repeatedly tried calling me . I went in when I realized I was locked out . I had received an email a few hrs earlier that I did not realize I had until entering the office . She told me she called repeatedly until I showed her my phone history then she makes an excuse that she didn't pay attention to the area code still blaming me . Then told me I should have called them when I changed my bank account . Well why would I if I was going to make the payment on my due date . Then she made excuses for why it took a week for them to email my contract . Told me I should have opened the contract email not used the send day as my move in reference . Well I am legally suppose to receive my contract the day I move in . Miranda said she would remove the late fees but didn't another lie just like the one saying she tried calling to remind me of due date . I believe it is the facilities way of charging late fees to steal from the customers . When I rented here previously the staff was Amazing and so personable. Miranda has no business being in customer service . She is obviously to lazy to even click send on an email , doesn't call and then lies to get late fees etc. I didn't like her repor when I first called about a unit as she was rude on the phone ( I needed to verify the size of doors which again she said she would measure but she never did I had to make a trip there ) . I only renter here because of past experiences GIANT MISTAKE .. Also was told I can not so much as remove a screw from a piece of wood on the property but I have visited the facility and witnessed several renters working on things on the property. I have rented from here Everytime I come to visit my family in MN . I would never rent here again . MOVING OUT BEFORE NEXT DUE DATE . SAD BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO RENT ANOTHER SPACE ,BUT NOW I WILL GIVE MY MONEY TO A COMPANY WHO UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMERS ARE NEEDED TO HAVE A BUSINESS . Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate 2: I got a call from Miranda in the office and man she is good! She is professional and polite and everything this company needs to keep! She informed me that I do have 24 hour access with the premium access that I pay for. It was professional and did not make me feel dumb for just going off of what the sign said on the gates. She also talked to me about the rent and she was able to bring it way back down for me to the original agreement, also stating that I can call and talk to her anytime for questions. I also wanted to point out I do like their key system, it was recently upgraded and their app plus the key system is nice. I feel a little dumb for not calling and asking about my issues but after chatting with Miranda, I actually feel appreciated and that there is also the option to call.
Update: They jacked up rent from 280 a month to 350 a month for "high demand" after 3 months, pretty shady and it feels like a bait and switch. Also it was advertised at 24 hour access for my unit but the gates close at 10. Not the end of the world but just not great business practices if you ask me. Besides that it is still clean I guess.
I've used about 3 different storage rental companies in the past but none compare to this one. Miranda helped me out initially and on other requests and she was polite, professional, and informative. Besides the great service, the location and units are extremely clean and well maintained. From experiences with other companies I would not have believed it. Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I called around for prices last fall and listened to what the sales person had to say on the phone and ended up at Extra Space. Extra Space Storage had a few different options. The one I choose was the month to month because it was a lot better price and I think there was a special. Anyways that lot better price turned into an EXTRA $100 a month shortly after I had been there. I rented two units a 10āx20ā heated and 10āx30ā non heated. Each unit went up a $100 so it was costing me $200 extra. The girl at the desk had sold me on the sweet price but neglected to tell me it would go up over time. And I had mentioned to her that I was going to be keeping them indefinitely. So when I finally noticed the price increase I called and she said, well thatās in your contract! My reply was well you explained everything else to me except that part! As far as Iām concerned they did that intentionally and theyāre crooks. Super sweet and nice to super rude. She said, we mailed you notices. We never got a noticed mailed to us. Also the key pads go out so donāt plan on sending a buddy there to pick something up unless heās on your account because you have to show I.d when the keypad doesnāt work. Thereās no power in the units so if you store a vehicle there donāt plan on using a battery tender. They make you buy their insurance even though it only covers āNothing!ā Definitely wouldnāt recommend! I hope this saves someone the headache and few extra dollars if...
