I went to look for a Halloween costume, had a bat 🦇 in mind. I was greeted by a woman in a full on costume, and knew I was in the right place! She proceeded to go and retrieve pieces of clothing she thought I could work with, and then blew my mind by showing me an amazing, recently brought-in handmade costume and mask by a local person. I was smitten by the costume, & told her I was also a stiltwalker, and that I have a shed full of costumes, and that this one she showed me is really special. I tried it on, and when I was taking it off, a couple of the velcro attachments came unglued... She was so helpful, and offered to contact the creator of the costume, who generously offered to come over 15 minutes later to assess the situation and help fix it. The creator of the costume realize she knew who I was. The shop woman had told her I was a musician and stiltwalker, and we then realized we have a dear mutual friend who had recently passed (who I believe orchestrated this whole encounter!) 💫The shop lady stayed later than closing time to assist this all unfolding , and I walked away with an amazing handmade costume and two new friends. Highly recommend the magick...
Read moreI really used to enjoy this store and the owner is such a sweet and genuine lady. However, there’s a specific employee that always makes me feel like she thinks I’m stealing. I used to come here all the time and I ALWAYS paid for my stuff. I would ask her to hold things so she would stop assuming. I’ve bought 4 sets of tarot bc anyone in the valley knows how hard they can be to find but none of them come with guidebooks(some had QR codes but for the price we should be getting physical guidebooks) and the card quality itself isn’t the best. If you do shop here bring cash. They charge a fee for card transactions under $6 and...
Read moreSweet lady running the shop. But when I inquired about a booth or spot after seeing what they had to offer I was immediately shot down since I was inquiring about Jewelry, which they apparently have too much of?. She didn't even ask/want to see my Jewelry. Which is totally okay I'll keep my jewelry in the Uptown Shops. But for better customer service experience since she had mentioned a "waiting list" to me, couldn't i have been put on it? But since I was inquiring about Jewelry the conversation ended at just that, she doesn't need any more jewelry. But other than that there's some good Gems/Rocks and a Apothecary in the shop definitely worth checking out and the doggy LuLu ...
