They use bait and switch tactics. I took games to them rather than to Gamestop as I prefer to do business locally. 2 employees in the store told me I could trade in Xbox One and PS4 games: 2 of my games for any 1 of their games regardless of console generation. 1 of the 2 employees approved what I picked out for trade and told me a 3rd employee would get the discs out from behind the counter for me. 3rd employee told me I had to pay an additional $10 because their 2 games were worth more than my 4 games. I mentioned the other 2 employees already cleared me on the 2 for 1 trade of any games, she then proceeded to attempt to shame me by using manipulation tactics of "my games are worth more, you wouldn't want to hurt a local business would you?". She didn't honor what the other employees sold me on and there were no apologies for the other 2 employees not knowing this, just using tactics to turn it back around on the customer. I wasted 15 minutes looking at games only to fall into the bait and switch. As a fellow small business owner myself I would have honored the employees words upon verifying with them that they said this to my customer no question about it, and I would have offered an apology to the customer at the very least even if mistakes happen. Don't shame your customers and you'll keep them. I've been doing business with this pawn shop since around 2013-2014, I'll never bother with this place again when there's 4 other pawn shops in the surrounding area that honor their words....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShop employees seemed knowledgeable and nice . I'm giving them two stars for that.
They offered $100 for a 1200 rifle that I was only asking 900 for and not just cash but a trade for a pistol and some cash . The day before I asked them of they would do honest trades they even knew I had another expensive and rare rifle yet when I came in the next day to make that fair honest trade with maybe a little cash I was offered a slap in the face . Employees even dropped my case with about $500 worth of equipment and broke a 75 round drum that I just now seen when I got home and all I got was a sorry. Whats sad is being offered $100-$200 for a custom built AERO PRECISION AR platform with all FAIL ZERO INERDS. And being told it would be sold for $450 in store when the cheapest AR build they have there they want $590 for with plastic insides......
I wanted a $260 9mm and $600 cash or maybe negotiate a little and they flat slapped me in the face with a counter offer that anyone would pack up and leave hearing. Won't be back ever again . Thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey have great guitars, firearms and collectibles. I really like going there when Iām in Cottonwood. Iāve bought a guitar and various other items there. So why is this not a five star review? Well, I have had three experiences at Pawn Palace. The first and last were great, the middle one was not (in fact it was downright bad). I will say that the person who helped me the second time does not seem to be there anymore; at least I have not seen them in a while. They do have a great selection of clean, high-end items. The store is well lit and shows well. The owner, Tanner, is very easy to work with and very professional and helpful. I was in there today and he was a pleasure to work with and even stayed open a little late for me. If I have a good experience next time Iāll bump this up to five stars and chalk the second time to someone...
