I would not even give one star, For this hospital that has a 2.2 RATING!! I had a hip replacement back in May of 2023, Which I realized had a lump on my Hip/Thigh, I went to the nurse practitioner I normally see! She says there was no heat, Probably not an infection!! She then ordered me a an Ultrasound, When the results came back to her, She told me to go to ORTHO, To have this Accumulation of FLUID, And you have it removed with a needle!! She was so wrong, ORTHO Told me to go to the emergency room, Which is what I did!! It turns out I have to have an operation On my hip, Because it was infected, A STAPH INFECTION!! I had the surgery, by a ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON, And in less than a half an hour, It was over!! When I left the hospital, Never having any INFORMATION ABOUT THE WOUND, How to change bandages, And the orthopedic surgeon told the nurse to give me more supplies, And he did not! I was asked See the SURGEON in 3 days, I wasn't even able to get an appointment for seventeen days!! The the wound was LEAKING So much BLOOD/FLUID, I immediately called ortho, And they were So confused, They told me to leave the BANDAGE until my appointment !! But I had to change it two times a day the first week, There were so much fluid, I could not believe it!! Every time I called ortho, They refused to help me!!! They said I am WORRIED OVER NOTHING!! When I finally had the appointment, They ordered me to get an x-ray, BEING CONFUSED, THEY HAD ON THEIR RECORDS AS I HAD A HIP REPLACEMENT, NOT AN INFECTION!!!! When I took off the bandages, The fluid and blood spilled all over, Ortho immediately told me to go back to the ER! I was expecting to do another surgery!!! They told me I HAVE AN INFECTION IN MY ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT, And no surgeons are available right now, I would have to be shipped to another hospital!!! They coerce me , THEY HAD LIED TO ME, And as directed, I followed their directions!!!
I was then brought by any angulance at 12:30 In the middle of night brought down to BANNER UNIVERSITY!! They did another test on me, To see if the fluid was indeed infecting my ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT, And they found that it was not infected at all, VERDE VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER HAD LIED TO ME FOR THE ONE PURPOSE!! When I got back from BANNER, Still not being taken care of CORRECTLY, They said they cannot help me anymore, Because I signed off to BANNER UNIVERSITY!!!
THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THEY TREAT THEIR PATIENTS WITH DISRESPECT!!
Now I see a Wound Care Specialist ( Also employed by Verde Valley Medical Center, And she said I would have to have a vacuum on my wound 2 month after the SURGERY, I've been waiting two weeks for approval from my insurance company!! And when I called them, They said nothing was said by VERDE VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER, And I called to find out what's going on!! No one called me back, A supervisor nothing!! HOW DISGRACEFUL!! When you complain to the PATIENT RELATIONSHIP SPECIALIST, They only tell me to go somewhere else!!!
You come to the hospital in need of help. And all you give you is misery discustng doctors and nurses!! I am on disability, I can't afford to go to anywhere else, You should be able to trust the hospital The doctors, The surgeons in your area!!!! But apparently from everyone else DISGUST AS THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS HOSPITAL OVER & OVER AGAIN !! NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE, WE HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINTS, DOCTORS FO NOT HONOR THEIR OATH, "DO NO HARM!!" SO DISGUSTING!!!! When is It going to...
Read moreEdit: I filed a formal complaint. The ER staff investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong. The thing is, it took me over a year to be able to both afford and have the courage to seek treatment again. Turns out, I have pretty bad sleep apnea. I couldn't afford a CPAP machine because of this medical debt from the hospital. If the ER doc showed one ounce of care, I might have not wasted thousands of dollars and suffered for an additional year. Dr Jeremy Payne never mentioned a sleep study (which, thankfully I could afford a YEAR LATER) or anything even remotely helpful, he just wanted me to go away. Sucks to suck, I guess! I won't ever go back here.
Don't go here unless you want a huge bill and ZERO help. I am reviewing my exorbitant medical bills and decided I'd share because I'm still desperately trying to pay them off. I got a mountain of debt for NOTHING, literally nothing of medical value provided. I went a while back due to some extreme insomnia issues. The first time I was having very high anxiety and the Dr prescribed anxiety pills for me to sleep. I went home and continued to have zero sleep for another few weeks until my family drove out to help me. I went to the ER again and saw a different Dr. Jeremy Payne. This one acted really annoyed I was there and said he wanted to run some blood work. I asked what it was and he said "normal stuff." When he got the results he never came back to even talk to me and sent a nurse to tell me to go away basically. Luckily my family member was there because as you can imagine my brain was totally mush after literal months of sleep derivation. Family BEGGED to get me some help!!!! Dr came back in very angry and said he'd prescribe 5 pills. I just wanted to sleep so bad. These pills didn't work either. But when I finally got the bill, turned out the Dr had ordered the most comprehensive drug screening I've ever seen?!!??? I guess he was disappointed I wasn't a drug seeker but still wouldn't help me. $1,200 for a DRUG TEST!!!!!!!!!! The visit was another $1,150 and insurance covered only $175. I'm still trying to pay this off. Do...
Read moreIn ER for such excruciating pain that I was sobbing in the waiting room. I have a complex medical history that needed full vetting in order to assess why this was occurring. Never bothered to take it. They were supposed to give me just Tylenol, literally Tylenol, to help ease pain until I could be seen by doctor. They failed to even do that. Didn’t bother to take a full and complete medical history, including medications I was currently taking that could contraindicate. Thankfully, I’m informed and an advocate for my own health. Others may not be. After a rushed exam and mediocre assessment of the issue, doctor fails to give basic proper diagnosis or treatment plan. Puts me on a med that is useless for the issue. Moreover, doctor pivots last minute (after they have discharged me) and decides to put me on lower doses of the medicine than we discussed, which was already extremely low. I’d never have agreed to this. Medicine didn’t work whatsoever. A baby aspirin would have worked better. Called to speak with doctor the next morning. They wouldn’t even let me ask a question about the med he prescribed. Told me I had to come all the way back into the ER. Yet another chance to bill my insurance company. It’s been 2 days since I was there and the pain is no better. I’m incapacitated. My pain is so bad that I can’t drive or move, yet they won’t allow a question on their own protocol from the day prior. If they so much as bill my insurance for the Tylenol they never could be bothered to bring me, I’ll have my insurance company hit them for billing fraud. The last time I was there, which was for life threatening blood clots, the doctor wrote the Rx incorrectly. Thankfully, I saw this at the pharmacy when I went to pick it up, and this time I actually was able to speak with a doctor, who confirmed that the other doctors wrote the script wrong. This entire health system will be taken down at the root by med mal claims. Honestly, go to Flag if you’re able. Or better yet, something in PHX or Scottsdale. You are literally putting your life in the hands of a pool of incompetency and...
