Don’t rent a tux at the Covington (River Chase) location. They consider having the tux ready on the morning of the wedding to be satisfactory service. My three sons (ages 22, 18, and 14) and I all needed tuxes for my daughter’s wedding (July 9, 2022). She and her fiancé started the process at the Men’s Wearhouse in Irving, Texas, over nine months before the wedding. The staff in Irving told her that it was imperative that we all get measured at our local store at least five months before the wedding. We therefore went to the River Chase store (the only north shore location, 12 miles from our house) on February 2, 2022. The supremely arrogant sales rep who handles tux orders (spend two minutes inside that store and you’ll know exactly who I mean) absolutely refused to measure my two younger sons because they were still growing. He said we should come back on May 15 at the earliest to get them measured. So, we came back on May 27 and got them measured. He said to come back on July 7 (two days before the wedding) for pick-up and to check the fit. We did so. The pants for the 14-year old and the 22-year old were much too long. Not even close. He told us to come back at 1:15 pm on the next day. The two boys drove the 24-mile roundtrip on July 8 (as a result, missing most of our first family reunion in four years). Note: this was already their fourth visit, and it was now 24 hours before the wedding. Men’s Wearhouse had pants for the 22-year old but still nothing for the 14-year old. They told them to come back at 10:30 am the next day (wedding day). This was impossible for us. We had a dozen things to do before the wedding and needed to be at the church (15 miles from Men’s Wearhouse) for photos at 1:00 pm (for a 2:00 pm wedding). If we had tried to squeeze in a trip to River Chase, we would have all been late (including the bride, who was counting on us for a ride to the church). So, the 14-year old had to borrow some old dress pants from the 18-year old. They were too long and didn’t match the tux. On July 10 we returned our tuxes, and I asked for a refund, or at least a discount, for the 14-year old’s tux (for which I had paid over $200). The totally unsympathetic manager refused. No refund, no discount, no apology. According to her, IT WAS OUR FAULT for not coming in on the morning of the wedding. We had already made four trips to the store, and they thought we should make a fifth, just hours before the wedding. I’m not at all surprised that this location has been racking up 1-star reviews in recent months....
Read moreLONG STORY I really needed a suit for an upcoming wedding and I planned to purchase from Jos A. Bank (Mandeville). So I work night shift and got off at 6am and decided to kill time by working out prior to the store opening at 10am. So as you can see this obviously important to me. So once it open I make my way inside (Jos A Bank) and the first words I hear were "we don't have nothing in your size". Now I workout just a bit but I'm no bodybuilder (5'9"/ 210lbs). He recommended another guy in Mandeville who would customize a suit for me and "my size". So I go to this guy (mom and pop style) and he attempts to sell me something from his rack. I wasn't feeling the styles he was trying to sell and he could feel my energy so he recommended Jos A. Bank to me. I told him they sent me to him and he said well I don't know why because they can customize your suit for you there. So the guy at JAB didn't even offer to measure me or a customize anything. It's like he didn't want to deal with me. So he then recommended Men's Wearhouse in Mandeville. I get there and the brother Carlton and the other brother (didn't get his name) immediately said they will be right with me due to them helping other customers. Carlton immediately jumped into action by measuring me and making me feel welcomed no matter my size. He did an AMAZING job and I'm very happy with the suit I selected which he helped me with. HIGHLY...
Read moreIf there was a zero star option that’s what I would’ve picked. I made the mistake of walking into this business this morning (after a bad experience at another location) and was greeted by an employee who asked if I had a mask. I responded no I do not, I can’t wear a face covering of any kind. While we were talking another employee who was helping a customer decided he was going to stop helping this customer and divert his attention to me and yell across the store to wear a mask or get out! I responded to him with the same response, I can’t wear a face covering. He then told me I had to leave the store because I refused to wear a facemask. Throughout this entire “pandemic” I’ve never been asked to leave a business or been treated so rudely for being unable to wear a face covering. I also attempted to shop at the Edgewater mall location on 10/10/2020 and received the same rude treatment. This company has apparently informed it’s employees to be extremely rude, embarrass, and refuse service to customers who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition. After being treated this way at 2 different locations in 2 different states I will not be doing business with...
