Even though we didn't get out of the room on time, we had so much fun. We were four steps from getting out of the room. It was only two of us so I want to try to go with another couple next time. I think it would have been much easier with more brains involved. I can't wait to go back. We already have two tentative double dates to get the other two rooms done. There were few issues in the room that made things difficult. We figured out how to unlock the door (we were able to hear it unlock) but couldn't get the door opened. After several tries and a few minutes we asked for a hint only for him to just tell us to do it again. We eventually got out of that room. We ended up having a trouble with one of the clues that literally cost us the last 10 minutes of the game. In order to figure it out you have to look at a screen in one room and put something in the camera of another room and make sure it lines up perfectly to read something. That was VERY hard especially with two people because only one person could look at the screen at a time. We had to keep switching out to see if one person could see something that the other could not. We went back and played another room. We had so much fun. We got out this time with over 12 min left and everything worked well. We didn't get our picture sent to us this time but I plan to contact them about that. I do recommend that you do the Nuclear Annihilation room before you do Extinction if you have never done an escape room before. Update: We have done Nuclear Annihilation, the Express, the Submarine one (which is no longer available), and the virtual reality Lost Pyramid. Each room is very different in the technology used, the clues, and the difficulty level. I think our favorite is the virtual reality now. We cannot wait for them to bring in another one. It feels so real in the game. When I got too close to the ground edge, I moved back so I wouldn't "fall off". At the end you are supposed to walk off the edge to make your character jump off the side. I couldn't do it because my fear if heights won. We have now successfully completed every room except the Submarine room, which is no longer available. I highly recommend...

They truly want to make sure that their customers are happy, and whenever something is wrong, they definitely want to make things right. My family and I went back and completed the last two rooms. Everything went well, no problems with any of the rooms...we've been undefeated until Under Pressure...that room was super cool, but we were not on our game that night. I'd like to, also, add that the employees at Escapology are absolutely awesome and the place is truly a great experience!!! We had a blast at our final two rooms!!
My family and I have done 3 escape rooms. They were absolutely amazing! We had a blast. I only rate this 3 stars because in each room that we have done, there was always something that went wrong. In the Assassination room, there was a puzzle that we had to solve, which we followed exactly how the clue told us, but nothing happened. So, then we started guessing. Someone on the intercom came on and told us that we had to follow it correctly. So, we did what we did the first time and it worked. Then, in that same room, one of the letters that we needed on one of the locks wasnt properly visible, so those with bad eyes can't really see it for when we wanted to spell a particular word. Also, in that same room, a connection didn't work. When the lady came to show us the answer, it took us a bunch of tries to get it to work. Then in the extinction room, the laser contraption didnt work properly...we pointed it where we were supposed to point, but nothing happened. I then pointed both lasers, nothing happened. We had to keep pointing them at the area and holding it there until something happened...finally something did. And then in the Code room, our black light kept going out. I pressed the call button, but nothing happened for a while and then the guy came on asking if we could hear him, which we could at that point. We kept trying to jiggle the black light and it finally came back on. So, I'm not sure if anyone else had that problem, but if so, it would be good to get those...
Read moreEscapology was a cool and interesting experience. We chose the simulation with the highest level of difficulty, the submarine one. Even combining the brainpower of 6 people we still came up about 10 minutes short. You get a video introduction and then they put you into a room filled with hidden clues. You have 60 minutes to make it out. It was actually much tougher than I thought it would be. You get 3 hints, use them wisely. They offer 5-8 different scenarios of varying difficulty. The price is around $30 per person. It’s definitely worth a try and is a fun change of pace. After you go once they offer you coupons and discounts to come back, which is nice. I enjoyed it and will probably go again to try one a little easier.

Returned to Escapology and played the Budapest Express. Really enjoyable. 2 friends and I came out victorious and we had a blast. 2 small complaints. The lockers for personal items are disabled due to COVID-19. How hard would it be to simply disinfect the lockers to ready them for the next guests? I mean, customers are literally handling and touching all the items in a given room for an hour but disabling the lockers is going to save us? Are the iPads used for sign in being disinfected? I kinda doubt it. Seems to me a pointless inconvenience. Lastly, after the game is finished there’s a sign blocking you from re-entering the lobby. You’re more or less forced out the door immediately upon completion. I don’t want to have to ask your permission to use the restroom. Seems another COVID related hassle. I’m down to wear a mask the entire time, I get it. But the lockers and sign are pointless IMO and are merely annoyances. Overall it was fun and the staff...
