I have been practicing at Hot Yoga Revolution for almost 4 years. I came in with very limited yoga experience, and zero hot yoga experience. I also came in with back pain, an arthritic knee that flared a lot & very tight muscles throughout my body.
The staff at HYR took the time during class to adjust my poses if they were incorrect also explaining to me why they were were wrong and what potentially could happen to my body. They teach a very intense class, but at the same time I never felt rushed in my poses. This is a "check your ego at the door" studio.
The owner and proprietor Danielle takes complete ownership of all her clients and instructors. She has a very solid respect for her community inside and outside her studio. She is an active listener and even more so appreciates feedback on all aspects of her studio. The instructors she hires are first rate. They all bring something unique to their classes and are true pros that love their craft.
HYR also offers a lot of classes which work well for people with busy schedules. I take a mix of 5:45AM and 9:30AM classes which works out well for me as I am an off-peak commuter to Manhattan with kids that need to get to school. On the weekends I can sleep in because there are later morning classes and a 4 o'clock class Sat and Sun. Also, there is no such thing as a cancelled class due to an instructor that can't make it. There is always a first rate sub. The only reason classes are cancelled is because of VERY inclement weather.

Read more[TL;DR: I love HYR!] As a person who sweats a lot and doesn’t typically enjoy heated spaces, I was a bit apprehensive joining HYR. I’d been practicing yoga for about 4 years—only ~1 year in occasional hot/power classes—and was looking for a convenient place to practice in person. HYR was less than a 10-minute drive away (with parking and a train station across the street), so I figured I’d give it a shot.
My first month happened to align with our “21 (classes) in 31 (days)” challenge, and the unexpected side effect of being so engaged from the start was having the pleasure of immersing myself in HYR’s diverse, experienced, and welcoming community. (And yes, I did complete the challenge!)
Having considered Yoga Teacher Training in the past and heard rave reviews of HYR’s program, I went on to complete my 200-hour certification under Max (studio owner) and Kristine (long-time HYR member & teacher). I’m so grateful to say that I’ve not only deepened my own practice as a yogi and learned how to deliver a Journey Into Power class as a teacher, but I’ve also grown as a person in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
If you’re looking for a sign, this is it!...

I have to give a shoutout to Donna! She loves teaching and it shows in class. She inspires her students and will push you- which I love.. she changes her routine all the time so you are always challenged ❤️
I was in great shape BUT got into a really bad car accident and When I came to the studio 1 year ago I could not stand for Long periods or sleep at night.
Now I have no pain and symptom free from a herniated bulging disk. I know it’s ftom yoga 3 x a week. My body has changed dramatically with muscle definition and core strength .. but most of all I am free of pain.
HYR cares about each person who comes to the studio. The teachers are amazing and each unique in their style.
You will get a great work out and learn something new each...
