I was extremely disappointed with everything here. The receptionists at the office were rude and called me "honey" and "sweety" when I was getting upset which I feel is condescending. My appointment was scheduled for 4:00. I left Montclair at 3:00. It happened to be a very bad day out and the rain was torrential. The parkway was an absolute mess. At 3:30 I called and told them I would be running late for my appointment. She told me to call back closer to 4 if I wasn't going to make it. I said I was not going to make it by 4. She told me the tech would only wait till 4:15. I work 6 days a week, had to leave work early and fast for 8 hours. I realized by 4:11 I was not going to make it. I told them I was 10 minutes away, no traffic, and told them exactly where I was. I understand people can't wait around, but I was near tears, in pain and tried to have them understand. They were rude, nasty and told me the tech could only stay till 4:15. I could NEVER tell one of my patients that if they were rushing to get to me on a bad day, and let me tell you, I do NOT work in an industry that requires immediate energecy. I went to the center to see if I could catch the tech. I got there at 4:25 and they were LONG GONE. Almost in tears, I asked to speak to a manger. The manager wasn't there. The supervisor helped me. She tried to argue with me that I called, BUT I WAS IN CONTACT BECAUSE I KNEW I WAS GOING TO BE LATE. If it was a beautiful day outside, I would understnad. I honestly felt this was unacceptable. Almost in tears from frustrstion, I asked for the manager name and tech name. She proceeded to take down my information, and guess what NO CALL. I took my perscription and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday I visited the NJ Imaging Center in Cranford to get an ultrasound. The imaging ultrasound technician acted in a discriminatory manner against me as I am in a wheelchair. She refused to wait a few minutes to allow the water I drank to pass to the bladder. Other clients were permitted to do so. My wife was helping me get onto the imaging table and they refused to give us privacy to transfer me from the wheelchair after informing us no-one would help transfer at the start. They publicly embarrassed my wife and myself through the imaging technicians continued statements such as 'I have other patients!' The imaging technicians name is Jola. I now have to wait more than 2 weeks to get in for another round of imaging ordered pursuant to a surgery I had to check my kidneys.
The staff acted negligently in their duty and breach to provide reasonable care to allow the bladder to fill as other clients were permitted to do so & reasonable imaging technicians would permit me to time to have the bladder fill.
The staff knowingly - being in receipt of the prescription of doctors orders - informed us that we would not have to drink water in advance. The entire situation arose because of the staff improperly reading doctor communications i.e. the doctors orders.
Furthermore, the technician was blatantly discriminating due to my wheelchair status stating 'how are you even going to get in that room on your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere was a mix-up with whether or not I needed a second prescription to be there (I didn't), there was a mix-up about what time I was supposed to be there (the tech seemed to think I was the 8:30 appointment, I was told I was the 8:15 appointment which meant I had to be there at 7:45). These two minor details slowed the process down which normally wouldn't have mattered but after drinking the required 32 oz of water I was eager to get the show on the road. There didn't seem to be a sense of urgency on the other side. Also, the incessant chatter about dresses and spouses and diets from among the staff out front was distracting and not necessary. Women come for these tests because of potential life-threatening issues and they should not be subjected to this kind of ridiculous gossip. Soothing music or just quiet would be better. There should be decorum in a place like this. Finally, twice I was told to go to the bathroom and change clothes, once to put the gown on and once to put my clothes back on. There is no bench or shelving in the bathroom so both times I held my clothes between my knees and slowly changed while praying I wouldn't drop anything on the bathroom floor. There was an indignity to it. The procedures are stressful enough, the experience shouldn't be unpleasant on top of everything else. Overall, the visit left a lot...
