If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I had the worst experience there last night. I won't go into too much detail but basically, I went in with severe abdominal pain, I had major abdominal surgery yesterday morning and by evening I was in so much pain I couldn't move so I went to the closest ER. The RN and ER tech were great. They got me all prepped and taken care of very quickly. The doctor however, should not work in the medical field at all. This review is coming from someone who works in healthcare.
None of my results came back normal but each time he said they did. I heard him making fun of my medical history with the other nurses. He huffed and puffed about ordering a CT scan for me. My results came in and I have an umbilical hernia. He came in and said my results came back normal. When I brought up the hernia they found, he said "what hernia?" And had to physically pull up my results in my room with me like he didn't even look at them in the first place.
He then said it wasn't an emergency. Sent me home in extreme pain.
I'm so surprised this hospital is even still open. I used to work here and it's worse than a bandaid station.
I just cannot believe how I was treated there, I left in tears feeling humiliated.
Do yourself a favor and go to IU in Lafayette or Witham in Lebanon or go all of the way up to Indy, don't go here for anything that isn't a minor emergency.
I entirely plan on filing a report against the doctor here, especially if I go to Lebanon to their hospital and find out something is seriously wrong, this hospital almost killed my brother when my brother had a hernia, they told him he didn't and to wait until Monday. Good thing he got a second opinion because he would have been...
Read moreI must assume that all of the doctors in Crawfordsville is in the network including those that have moved to Crawfordsville Square. I had to change doctors after my other doctor retired. My complaint, why don't the nurses and doctor I have now know how to take blood pressure?
It's bad enough that you run patients through like cattle but you don't allow time for patients to properly rest for especially blood pressure readings. But what is worse is when the nurse have you to get up on the end of an examination table with dangling arm and dangling feet where the nurse wraps a cuff that is too small around my arm over my sleeve and is clueless as to where the brachial artery is so the artery marker can be properly located.
And they wonder why I have such an elevated blood pressure in the doctor's office where it is pretty normal at home. I take my blood pressure every 3 or 4 days using various sphygmomanometers. Some are cheapies and some are quite expensive without D rings and as long as there is no problems with them they all read about the same except those digital things which I haven't used for at least 5 years now because they are so inaccurate. Yes I have quite a collection.
I have been taking my blood pressure for 20 years and in that time I've honed my skills and understand why it is important to take a blood pressure reading correctly. It shouldn't be any harder for a nurse or doctor to take a blood pressure reading correctly than to take it wrong. So these nurses and doctors need to be retrained to take blood pressure readings correctly. KUDOS to the nurses and doctors who does know how to take blood pressure readings which seems to be getting...
Read more2 nights ago I came to this hospital at 2 in the morning after going to try and see and concert, that was sold out, I had been eating fry’s and a McDonald’s fry had gotten itself lodged in my throat, and I couldn’t get it out, I proceeded to call this hospital asking if I should come in to see if they could get it out, then a couple hours pass of no luck, I went there, and got sat in a bed, blood pressure taken, then the doctor told me they have seen it a million times, and the fry was gone, and I was just feeling pain from previous rough patches in the throat from me throwing up, so I left about 3 am and got told I didn’t know what I was talking about, two days later, today I coughed out most of the fry I had been complaining about. And feel less of a blockage then I did when I was at the HOSPITAL. To the doctor that told me I don’t know what I’m talking about, that’s why you’re a midnight doctor, so you don’t have to help anyone, because apparently you can’t. They said they can’t do that at their hospital, so they recommended me to another one that’s gonna take more of my money, I just needed help, and he couldn’t do that. After I called and asked if they would help me, and they said I should come if if I thought I should seek professional attention, and that’s what I did. “Professional” when I went in there, I see why there was no one in there. I don’t trust this doctor anymore. And at first I did. Thank you for the nurses that took care of me. But for the wrong thing. I had a blockage I couldn’t get without help, so I seeked it. If you read this thank you...
