Joey is professional, knowledgeable, and affordable. That being said, two stars is the best I can give. I went in to replace some lost diamonds in my engagement ring and raise others that another jeweller had messed up. I was quoted two weeks. Two weeks go by and I get a call he had been sick and is now two weeks behind (understandable and I appreciated the call). However, another SIX weeks went by without hearing from him. I went in asking for my ring back and was informed that the face of the ring had been destroyed in the process of raising the diamonds. It would need to be rebuilt. My husband and I had talked about designing a new ring at some point so we discussed this option with Joey. After two weeks of back and forth and many miscommunications, found out he is not, in fact the designer. He is the stone setter. Big difference. He was simply playing middle man between us and the designer (who was in Chicago and was leaving for vacation for two weeks when we found this out). I did not want to wait another two weeks, so I said just fix my old ring and give it back. It took a total of 12 weeks to get my ring back. The original timeline was 2 weeks (I acknowledge it would have been 10 weeks if I hadn’t wanted to redesign my ring). And then not even a month later my diamonds fell out! I was informed my diamonds falling out would be a recurring problem at the start but it was implied it would be like every year or so. Not within less than a month!! And if you have to rebuild the face of the ring where the diamonds are, I would expect it to be better quality! He replaced the diamonds for free but made me feel like a fool for it. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to replace the diamonds. It took 7. At pick up, I inspected my ring and it was still missing a diamond! They quickly put one in and now, two weeks later that diamond is missing AGAIN. I’m devastated at the shoddy work. He’s a nice person but I’m very unhappy with the quality of work and lack of ability to communicate. Five stars was too good to be true. It’s more like 1 star. I gave him an extra star because he was nice. Workmanship is only one star, though.

I had the absolute best customer service ever from Joey the Jeweler!!! I have never been to this jewelry store before today and I am so impressed!!! For several months I noticed my finger had begun swelling due to weight gain. I then noticed my wedding ring couldn’t come off my finger. I tried to remove the ring with olive oil and then I tried liquid dish detergent which wasn’t successful. My finger felt “claustrophobic” with a tight fitting ring so I Googled “how to remove a stuck ring on a finger”. One of the suggestions was to contact a jeweler who could cut the ring off the finger. I then called the local jewelry store “Joey the Jeweler”. The very pleasant lady who answered the phone stated they could assist me when I mentioned my dilemma with having a ring stuck on my finger. I quickly drove to their business and Joey the Jeweler promptly assisted me and cut the ring from my finger with a fancy jewelry cutting tool!! It was such a relief to have the ring removed. (By the way, I wasn’t charged a fee). I also received a red gift bag to place my cut rings in. I suggest anyone wanting great service/beautiful jewelry to visit this business!!! Such great customer service! We are extremely happy we came to Joey for our rings! My husband had family diamonds he wanted to use for my ring and asked me to design it how I wanted. I am not artistic at all, but I had a rough idea of what I wanted. We came in and were immediately greeted and helped. His wife showed me ring ideas in a book they had, but when I didn’t like those Joey came over and asked what type of style I was wanting. Within a few minutes he drew a design that that was perfect. They also then sent me a 3D picture of the rings within a couple days and after confirming we liked them, the rings were made in less than a month! They made sure they fit right and all the diamonds were set correctly before us taking them home. Everyone was very kind and attentive. They were honest about designs, realistic expectations, pricing, and timeframes. You could tell their focus was about making the customer happy and not about making money. I will definitely come back for any other jewelry in the future. This would be my first recommendation for anyone looking...
