Update to respond to Sofi's response to my review:
First: I did not have nails removed! I am allergic to the glues salons use and have not had artificial nails in over 25 years! My nails on my hands and toes are my own... So I was Over charged $10.00 for a service I did NOT receive.
Second: I was told the kids would be $7 for hands and $8 for toes. I would have liked to have known before hand that It would cost $20 more to add water to the basin! Her nail polish only lasted 1 day before it started chipping and was gone in 3 days time.
Third: The gel polish you used on mine, and I was told $15 extra while sitting in the chair, did last about a week and a half longer than my daughters basic polish before it started chipping/wearing away.
In conclusion: Sofi's is one of the most recommended nail salons in Crestview. The salon was clean and the technicians were friendly and personable (although, the gentleman didn't speak at all). There needs to be a little more communication regarding additional charges and the charges need to match what you're told in the chair to what is actually charged at checkout. (you are handed a picture menu to choose your level of pedicure - but once things get going, you start getting offered add on's and up-charged items, like gel polish instead of regular.) I will be driving back to Niceville for Mani-Pedi treat days for my daughter :)
Original Review: Sofi's was the most recommended in Crestview. I called and made our appointment and was told the kids would be $7 & $8 so I took my 10 year old daughter with me for a kids Mani/pedi as a treat. First you are seated and they have disposable plastic liners over the foot basin and I really liked that for hygiene. The kids chairs are cute too but do not massage like the adults. You are offered a little menu as to the options and point and choose as they fill the basin. I was told the gel would be an extra $15 if I wanted to try it as it lasts much longer than the basic polish, so I agreed on mine. As they were filling mine my daughter seemed antsy I asked what was wrong and she pointed to her empty tub. I asked them doesn't she get to soak her feet in warm water also for her pedi? They said yes and began to fill her tub at tht point.. There was one older man working in the back where we were seated and 2 women. One of the women started working on my feet fist then a few minutes later the man worked on my daughters. She didn't get any of the lotions or anything on her legs, just her feet soaking in the warm water with a tsp of the salt... He did an ok job on her painting and the lady that did mine was personable and did a good job. When I went to pay it came to $100.00!! 😱 They charged me $20 for the gel, not the $15 and charged $25 for my daughter to soak her feet in the warm water plus for the Mani/Pedi..! I have taken her with my several places in the county and have NEVER paid that price for the both of us! I was a little taken back! The place was clean and the workers nice but the $$...

I went in for a vitamin nail and pedicure about a month ago, I had a appointment had told them I only had until 12. I get there they put me in a broken massage chair/pedicure tub(massage thing was broken and had a knob that would not move from the middle of the back-i have a bad back) to wait for over 20 minutes before anyone came to even put the soak salts in. Eventually they come over and start doing my feet but by then I had to go with the express package and it seemed like they rushed because I wasn't doing the more expensive package. The one doing my feet was rushing and so didn't do a very thorough job(I have had the same person do amazing work when I got the more expensive package) I mentioned that I had a possible ingrown toenail (I suffer from them quite a bit so I always try to make sure they cut them properly and clean the sides out very well because of it) the tech seemed irritated, but started checking and the started clipping. Now I have a high pain tolerance and while reflex will cause me to twitch occasionally I am usually fine and when asked say so. He actually started to cut to deep and caused me to actually jerk away. After that he left it alone, problem is he left shards of cut nail in the side of my toe so that a few days later I couldn't even touch the side of my toe without wincing. I have had this happen twice before but I let it go. But this time with the shards being in there and having cut to deep I couldn't take care of it. So when I called to make a appointment to get my nails done I mentioned how I was not sure if I could get a pedicure as I was still in a bit of pain from the last one. The owner herself said they would look at it and see if they could find out if there were shards still in there. So I went today to get vitamin nails and wasn't sure if I could or not for the pedicure. I get there a few minutes before my appointment so I could get the previous vitamin nails removed and once again wait 10+ minutes before they even set the remover out. I spent 2 hours getting vitamin nails. I don't know why it took so long but I am happy with my nails. Problem is they took so long that a pedicure was no longer a option because they were closing. So while they can do great work they can also do less the stellar work. Overall it has the making of a great nail salon and can do great work but...
Read moreLONG REVIEW It's unfortunate that I must write a bad review about Sofi's nails. I've been here several times & always had a pleasant experience, however this was when Leslie was working here as a nail technician.
This last time I had an appointment for 5pm on Saturday the 18th, I was told Leslie moved states when I asked where she was. So with this being said, a nail tech that I have never seen before was in charge of doing mine & my daughters pedicures.
She had what seemed to be a bad attitude, huffing & puffing & stretching around as if she were ready to leave for the day. So, needless to say I feel as if my pedicure was very rushed.
She ended up cutting my daughters toe while clipping her nails & then proceeded to cut my skin as well when it was my turn to get my nails clipped. I remember telling her that she had just cut my skin and she didn't say anything, Sofi was also in the same room a few chairs over & looked up towards me after I said this.
I tried to give the woman the benefit of the doubt & tried not to complain because this was my first unpleasant visit with this salon.
I contacted sofi the next business day, which was a Monday & told her about my jagged toe nail that wasn't filed down smoothly and how my skin had stung when I went to wash up after leaving the salon & asked to have at least a partial refund.
I was given the run around about how I should've said something when I was in the salon & that she'll get back to me when she has some time. It's a week later & nobody has gotten back to me about my refund or anything at all for that matter.
For the unprofessional pedicure and the lack of customer service after the fact, I am writing this review, leaving one star & never returning to this establishment. Sofi's just lost...
