I go into this place at least once a week to do drop & hook. Sometimes, I have to live load if my load isn't ready yet or they didn't have trailer to load it on. Every time I come here, I have issues with being overweight (because my tractor is too heavy, it's an issue almost everywhere) and I have to back into a door and get my load adjusted. I love coming in here to get loads. The guards at the guard shack give my dog treats on the way in and the way out. If I get held up or run out of hours while I'm there, I can limp my truck on over to Walmart next door and park for the night. It's convenient to have the scale right there on the premises to save me from having to go out of my way to a CAT scale to find out what my weights are. Mark & Michelle in the shipping office are great and they have a wonderful sense of humor! I see a lot of negative reviews on here and I have to wonder if the those reviews are coming from the same drivers I see in there that don't bother to read the signs or follow the rules. As long as you are polite, respectful & follow the rules (posted speed limits, wearing your hard hats & safety vests, ect.) you won't have any issues here. I see drivers in there all the time that think they can do whatever they want and not follow the rules, or they can't figure out how to operate the scale, and it drives me nuts. I watched one in there yesterday that couldn't figure out how to use the scale so he walks across the yard in flip flops, tank top & shorts (no hard hat or vest on that are required on the premises) and ask the yard jockey to come over and show him how to use the scale. Then he pulls up to the shipping office and proceeds to slide his tandems in the outbound parking, then doesn't bother to recheck his weights before he leaves. Just read the signs, follow the rules, be polite & professional and you'll find this is a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was pickin up loads here for almost two years. It was tolerable place. But what i saw to day gave me headache. Normally you check in at security office and you give all the information there. And they will tell you to park near the fence and wait call. Ok i checked in 1:00 pm and was waiting the call untill 5:16 pm nothing come up yet and what is more evey truck that comes after me gets their misterious call and gets dock. I went back to the security lady she said Just WAIT they will call you (either she had a bad day or disliked me) . Disapointed from here,I went, being careful not to KICK the beehive,to the main office explained unfortunate situation. And luckily a nice professional women gave me an appology. Inevitably I accepted though I was burning inside. she said that security just sent your info and gave me a door emediately. To make long story short the security lady needs proper training or KARMA...
