Not a member here and had never previously visited before, but we were in town and my kids wanted to swim so I found this place online and called ahead to ask if they specifically had a diving board because that is ALL my kids wanted to do was play on a diving board somewhere. The woman put me on hold to ask someone else so as to make SURE it was going to be available and for how long. She came back to the phone and said there was for sure a diving board and it was available until closing. So we packed up and headed that way. Paid $60 at the front desk for all of us to get in and in less than one hour of swimming they kicked us out of the pool area that had the diving board due to aerobics classes. When I TOLD them ahead of time that’s all my kids were interested in!!! We would NOT have paid $60 to swim for less than an hour. When we approached a manager about it she was very reluctant to even consider any sort of refund or day pass for the next day. That’s all we actually wanted. We didn’t want our money back. We were just going to leave and come back the next day if she would give us a day pass since we were misinformed about the diving board. She said she would have to call a higher up manager and see what could be done. Long story short we sat out of the pool wrapped in towels doing nothing for over an hour waiting on her to come back and forth from speaking with a manger to resolve the issue. Which was never resolved!! She said two of the 6 of us could do a rain check but would do nothing for the other 4. When I was unwilling to accept that and wanted her to speak with her manager again she said she would and to hold on and then left us there to wait for an hour. She never did come back for us so we went to the front desk to see what was going on and they said she left and locked up her office!! REALLY?! Just ignore us and leave?! I can’t believe they are willing to lose so much business from potential new customers. I have kids. My sister has kids. We would have brought our kids up here during the summers but they wanted to fight and squabble over a day pass. When it was THEIR mistake. She even admitted it was their fault but refused to make it right. Me and my sister are walking billboards and will inform anyone in our radius how horrible their customer service is. Bad business to lose so much potential earnings over something that would not have cost you any money. We didn’t want our money back! And I’m not the first to leave reviews for this sort of thing happening. EDIT TO ADD: We were later contacted by a different woman we had never spoken with and was given a day pass...
Read moreI am a disabled veteran and due to issues with my service related conditions I wanted to cancel since my contract had ended. I called to see when I could cancel my membership and was told I could cancel anytime as long as it was before the 30th of the month I wouldn’t be charged the following month since I was no longer under contract. I missed the 30th of the month so I assumed I had the time to go and cancel and went 4 days prior to the end of the month and was told if you don’t cancel 30 days before, you will be charged for another month. This business still didn’t want to honor what was told to me even though I completely finished my contract and am no longer under contract. Instead of providing good customer service and saying I apologize for the miscommunication I will release this so you can avoid the payment, I was informed that I needed a doctors note to give them as if I am still in school. I would not recommend this as a gym or anything. Horrible customer service and even worse management. Aleah DeBoer was not concerned with the miscommunication and didn’t want to compromise in any way, shape or form but instead made the excuse, we have some new people so maybe that was the issue. I have never seen anyone in a management position try to make an excuse so they could prove a customer is in the wrong instead of assuming responsibility for the mistake made by their employees and honoring...
Read moreBased on their other reviews, I guess this is a common theme with them. Do NOT sign up for a gym membership here.
We were misinformed about the terms of the couple's gym membership when we signed up. We were told it was a month-to-month agreement, and understood that if we canceled before the next billing date, our membership would end at the end of the current period. We joined while juggling a baby and a toddler, so we didn’t have the bandwidth to read every detail and trusted the staff member to explain the terms honestly. The gym didn’t meet our needs as the pool closes too early, so we decided to cancel.
We understood that canceling on June 10 (the billing date) meant we’d still be charged for June. That was fair. What we didn’t expect was to be charged for an additional full month after that, due to a 30-day notice requirement that was never communicated to us.
This has left us feeling frustrated and misled. We wanted to support a local business and were excited to continue supporting them down the line as well as using the water park over the summer, but this experience has really diminished our...
