I genuinely wanted to like living here because of the size of the apartments and the $1200/month for a two bedroom/ one and half bath; however one year was enough to make me crazy. The buildings are very poorly built. Within three months of living there I had a bird between the walls of my basement apartment. Mind you there’s three floors. According to the staff it happens all the time and they just let it bang around between the walls until they die. And that’s exactly what happened. The door to the stair wells slam so hard it sounds like someone hitting your door with a hammer, it’s enough to startle you awake out of a dead sleep. And if the door isn’t enough to wake you up other tenants dogs most definitely will. The ceilings are paper thin, you know where your upstairs neighbor is at all times and if it happens to be a guy living above you.. you can hear his entire pee stream from your living room with your tv on. Other daily, or nightly rather noises can be heard as well even while wearing a cpap and loud enough to wake you up. I called the office on numerous occasions regarding a dog barking for over 6 hours and scrapping at the unit aboves door. Nothing like coming home from working all day or trying to enjoy a holiday with your family and having to listen to a dog bark relentlessly for hours on end. They're directive was to call the cops if it’s after 10 or the best answer “we’ll send them an email and hopefully it stops.” Well a whole year went by and it definitely did not stop or get better no matter how many emails they sent.
The washer and dryers that you have to pay for, which I had no issue with, hardly ever worked and there’s only three washers and three dryers for 20 some units. And because they’re managed by an outside company if they break they take a week to fix if not more. For two weeks two of the three washers sat half full with dirty water and smelled awful. The dryers even in their highest setting don’t dry the clothes all the way so you pay for two cycles. The laundry room alone is pitiful, broken old floor tiles, broken folding table, grimy walls and floors, and sad excuse of appliances. It’s a waste of an amenity for how neglected the space is.
The maintenance staff are wonderful, attentive and honestly aside from the size of the apartments they’re the best part about this place. If your hard of hearing or never home and just need a place to keep your stuff this place is perfect, otherwise given they’re recent rent increase its not justifiable. Lastly, all the positive reviews come from every time maintenance has to come in your unit they text you to ask for a review to bump up their property ratings on google. Which again supports the fact that the maintenance staff are all this place has to offer. I understand it’s a business, however they treat you as just that, a...
Read moreThis place is filthy and suffers from years of neglect. Dog s* everywhere. Seriously, it’s like a mine field. I must personally clean up dog s* daily to not walk in it. Many unregistered dogs. Few weeks ago, I had a fellow tenant’s unleashed dog jump on the hood of my vehicle (a Golden Retriever). Immediately upon entering the building you are greeted by dog fur all over (to the point the blue carpet in the hallway is white). My friend and I were BOTH bit by a previous tenant’s unleashed dog. Not only could this tenant not control one dog, along came a second! I wonder how many are paying the dog fee of $50 a month like we are. We also had to pay a dog poop DNA fee which would work great and catch the people not cleaning up after their dogs IF the policy was enforced and the dogs were registered. The best: the people above our unit dumped 12 or so bags of dog s* aside of our unit (yes, INSIDE the building). Trash everywhere. We have a gutter that has leaked for YEARS to the point the connector is ready to completely come apart; when it rains you get a mini Niagara Falls out front which causes the mud in the flower bed that hasn’t been done in YEARS to wash across the steps going into the building. The laundry room is filthy (they are redoing it shortly, not that it matters because your fellow tenants are dirty and nothing is cleaned). I personally vacuum the common area outside of my unit, it’s seldom cleaned. Last time we went almost a year before a single common area cleaning. The most recent cleaner left so it has been over a month again since a cleaning. You can smell all the smokers in your unit as mentioned by another reviewer because the air filters are never changed. Not sure why the rent increases EVERY year. Make sure not to take a complete electric use unit (we were stupid enough to). we paid on average 300-350 a MONTH in electric before the unit was switched to gas (the heat was at 68 and there is no insulation so you basically pissed your money away). Also, as mentioned, don’t let the maintained office/club house trick you...take a drive through the complex. Look at the vehicles in the parking lots...it’s a filthy place for filthy people. Can't wait to be out in a few months and I will make sure to voice my opinion about this s-**. Feel free to email...
Read moreFor the most part, I enjoy living here. I have to disagree with some of the other reviews. The air vents in my apartment are changed annually. If I have a maintenance problem, they are out relatively quickly to fix it. If it's a leak in the middle of the night, they will come at 2 AM to fix it. They did for me anyway. The pool and clubhouse are nice. The building common areas get cleaned once a week (Thursdays in my building). I generally don't smell smoke from the other units. And our unit stays a consistent temperature, even without having to run our heat all the time in the winter. Yes, there are some spots that definitely need work and upgrading, but I can tell they are working on doing it gradually. I think for the area and the price, it can't be beat. Sure, some of the other people who live here are dirty and don't take care of the common areas, so I will definitely not miss having shared laundry once I move out. But overall, this is a nice...
