I don’t normally complain, in fact I pride myself on being understanding and patient but man was I disappointed in this visit. I’m sure most of the guys there this afternoon were new and for that I can offer grace but I don’t think I can come back to this location outside of the early morning when the girls are there. I came in for brunch with my mother, she ordered a tuna sandwich, I ordered 2 whole pizza bagels(4 halves; usually seasoned with garlic, oregano and basil. I’ve been going here for years so I could make it in my sleep at this point because they’re my favorite), 5 bagels to go and a water. We intended to eat there but everything was packed to go. Ok no big deal. We checked everything and my mom’s tuna was in a small condiment container instead of what she ordered it in and what I was charged for, we were given a very small amount of regular mustard, my pizza bagels were for lack of better words lack luster and I was unfortunately over charged. We came home, did the math and added everything up including tax which landed me at around 35$ I was charged 42$. This has been a favorite spot of mine for years so I was really disheartened this time because I’ve never seen my meal made with anything but love and always looked amazing. Maybe today was just...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews on here, but this experience was worth warning people about. Worst customer service I've encountered from any local business..... I went to New York Bagelry in Kenhorst to get some breakfast sandwiches. There was no line... just a lot of people in the dining area, waiting, with no food. I stood at the cash register where customers (supposedly) order. The girl taking orders & working the cash register was very rude (& appeared careless too). She and the lady working by her side did not even take my order, let alone acknowledge me! I would have understood if she was busy with a task(s), but she was just standing there. I waited for 5-10 minutes and the girl did not even have the courtesy to greet me & to say " I will be with you in a minute". Seeing how a line was forming behind me & the place was full of customers still waiting for their food, I left. I rarely if ever encounter this kind of rudeness, dismissiveness & poor service at a local business. Do yourself a favor & do not waste your time at New York Bagelry in Kenhorst. Put your time & money into a business that actually cares about providing quality service to...
Read moreHaving grown up in Queens, I have the full experience of the difference in bagels from the NY boroughs and the rest of the country. Living in Lancaster now and finding a Brooklyn guy making NY style bagels is a Godsend..Ok the review-There are so many bagel place in NY Boroughs, that's its not fair to this Bagelry to just say, yes they taste like NY bagels. All NY bagel places do not make a great bagel, so that said I would put this place up with not just a NY style bagel taste, texture, cooking preparation, i would consider it in best of the top NY bagels places, this is coming from a foodie bagel guy..Few suggestions to the owner-1-Move the bagel bins closer to the front register, so you can see them when ordering, you can see the quality and taste these bagels just looking at them, get them closer to front. 2-get a 2nd register, felt kids were waiting to take orders cause the one register was tied up. A lot of workers young kids, all very hard workers and getting it done, so hates off to you and thank you...10 stars if it was...
