I would give a 5-star rating if I were going by the "buying" aspect alone. I browse the whole store every visit, but mostly I only buy DVDs. The selection is great, the prices are even better, but the return policy is what I like the most. You get a day for every movie (ie. 10 movies, 10 days) to make sure they play correctly. If there are any problems, they exchange them for you without hesitation. They lost a star from my rating because of the "selling." I don't know if it's because I'm a woman (I sure hope not!), but the many times I've sold (or attempted to sell) items here, I wasn't even given the chance to haggle - which is part of the pawn shop process. I was told a price, it was take-it-or-leave-it, and the offers were extremely low. I understand they need to make a profit, but they should be a little more realistic and fair. When taken to another shop, my offers were almost double, so I know they were trying to get one over on me, which I do not appreciate. Also, the associates I dealt with in regards to selling, were less than pleasant, borderline rude. However, I would highly recommend this store when it comes to buying. Great prices and very friendly service, even when it's busy, hence my...

For 5 weeks her class had a cool classroom, while the rest of the building was steamy. Since then it has been cooling my 'train room'; important because tinplate track corrodes if it is too damp. That 25 year old unit had a problem (leaking water) today and we needed a replacement fast. I called Cash Converters 'cause I saw one a few days ago. They held it, carried it out to my truck and we are back in business... and the rug is dry in only 2 hours. We've got a Dewalt band saw, Porter Cable generator, Craftsman rototiller, several 10" saws, an MTD snowblower, a 20" floor buffer and 100s of smaller tools over the years; they are all working like new. Those 'big ticket' items all cost $700 to $800 new, and we paid a small fraction of the retail price. Thanks Cash Converters. Note: for a reseller to move a used item it must be priced well below the big stores' sale price. To do that, they will buy it from you for half of what they hope to...
Read moreMy husband went and brought a receiver from this place and upon trying it the speakers work but the receiver only allows for one speaker to work at a time so the surround sound in a whole did not work. Upon returning it with receipt in hand he was told he had 24 hours return and should of gotten 6 month protect plan, which was never told to him or offered. My husband got upset rightfully so and asked for the manager. The manager did not like my husband response to his worker when told in a nutshell he was going to have to eat the lost of 80 dollar's. The manager then told my husband if he response like that again he is not welcome back in the store and refunded his money while telling him he left a part there when he had brought it. Truly poor customer service no offer was made to exchange and the 24 hours and warranty was never told to my husband on date of purchase. Lesson learnt don't buy used stuff, especially from a place who is happy taking your money but not happy giving it back or...
