I came across this Health Foods Market while visiting the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in the Cuyahoga Falls area, and I was really glad I did! I was looking for organic, natural, and fresh food options that I could easily take with me on a hike, and this market turned out to be a great stop.
Parking is a little limited directly in front of the building, but there’s a larger lot off to the side that makes it easy to get in and out. Once inside, the market has a very welcoming small-town feel, but the building itself is surprisingly spacious.
The first thing you notice is the abundance of fresh produce—rows of colorful vegetables and fruits that look like they were picked straight from local farms. They also carry local raw honey, pure maple syrup, and cold-pressed juices, which are always a huge plus for anyone seeking farm-to-table, natural grocery options. In the fall season, they even feature pumpkins, gourds, and fresh apple cider, which adds a festive touch and really sets the tone for autumn shopping.
One interesting thing about this market is the variety: in addition to the organic produce and natural grocery items, there are also Amish-made foods like pies, cookies, and cakes. While some of those baked goods contain ingredients that don’t exactly fit the “natural market” theme, they’re clearly popular with locals who enjoy homemade, traditional comfort foods.
The store also has an impressive cheese and deli section, which makes it convenient if you want to grab something quick for a picnic or a hiking snack. Beyond the main grocery area, there’s a completely separate section dedicated to natural foods and organic brands—you’ll find teas, juices, drinks, and plenty of items from recognizable health-conscious labels. They even have an orange juice press machine for freshly squeezed juice (although as of my visit on October 2nd, it was temporarily out of order).
Overall, this market is a hidden gem for anyone exploring Cuyahoga Falls, Akron, or the greater Cuyahoga Valley National Park area. Whether you’re stocking up on organic essentials, looking for local specialties, or just enjoying the seasonal produce, it’s worth stopping in. It’s not a massive supermarket, but it offers the perfect blend of local charm, natural foods, and convenient grocery finds for both visitors and...
Read moreI am giving Krieger's the 5 because of what they offer in the lines of greens in the front of their store, plus the price they sell it for . Especially considering how close they are to Wal-Mart . The comparisons are close , even without any related sales and or coupons. I am not sure if Krieger's does (Retail Me Not) or (Honey) , two apps that save you money, but it's worth looking into. Actually Krierger's red lettuce was cheaper, $1.48 , than Wal-Mat's $1.78 . Plus I like the fact they carry Bolthouse Blends . I am a fan of the Tropical Carrot , and the 100% Carrot. I mix them. Carrots & apples that go straight into a juicer , yum. Plus the girls that work the front are fun and you can joke with with them . Real salt of the earth . I just wrote a review on First Watch, but I ran out of characters . So I will try and quickly finish here , seeing they are close together in reviews . The thought I wanted to finish was something my brother said to me . It was in regards to how stiff the competition is the closer you get when you nearer NY/NY and or Chicago. This is especially true when it comes to the food service sector. The farther away, the less the provider has to come up with more interesting foods and better pricing to attract and keep the customer . We here in Cuyahoga Falls seem to be stuck in the middle , thus the proprietors can make and charge according to the above mentioned. Yes, we do have Cleveland . When I moved to Ohio I went through Cleveland , and I quickly understood what all the jokes were about. That was then, and Cleveland has changed . I simply love The Flats . Jacobs Pavilion is the best, and the Q Rocks . So I am glad to see the whole Portage/Front Street connection here . Things will change . Buy Local .This summer , go to a farm and have plum right from the tree. There's nothing like it when the conditions bloom . I will be going to Big Eu'es BBQ .Hopefully he has that back door kitchen appeal . Best...
Read moreHere's the 1star reason, I bought 2 bone in chicken breast on June 23rd and some Italian sausage, I ate the sausage the same day and put the chicken in the fridge for Monday dinner. I took the chicken out for dinner and it was rotten!!! This is less than 24hrs after I bought it and I only live 10 minutes from the store and came right home. So I call the store and instead of an apology and getting told to bring it back the guy basically says nothing (let me point out that I wanted to make them aware so no one else got it or got sick) I ask if I bring it back if I could get new chicken (which I really didn't want I was to grossed out) he could not answer the question.Who sells rotten meat and when brought to the attention of an employee the first words are not we're so sorry please bring it back for a refund. Disgusted with the whole situation I threw them away and went on line and discovered that they have many health violations on repeatedly not having the proper temperature on several coolers and food prep area's not sanitary!!! Ice machine violation and no proper employee hand washing. I'm so grossed out right now and will tell the people I have sent there in the past to stop going there.sanitation in any kind of food type service should always be priority number 1 and if you see these same violations year after year after year after year they obviously could care less about your health and only care about the Almighty dollar!!!! Never will I or people I care about go there again.Like I said any other store would have apologized and told me to bring it back for a refund or new chicken not...
