We purchased a playset for our 2.5 year old. We paid for the playset in full at the end of may. The only thing that was not in stock was the tube slide. I called at the beginning of June I had not heard anything so I called a few days later to see the status of our order than I was told that they could not find all of my order. So my husband and I made plans to drive up there to get it sorted out. We dropped our 2.5 year old off at a babysitters house. We than went up to Menards and asked for the manager he found all of our order. He was not very pleasant man to talk to. He stated we just waiting on the slide. We asked if we could have the playset delivered they said yes but we would have to pay another delivery charge. So we decided to wait until everything came in to have it delivered. So the middle of June I called Menards and they stated that the slide would be in on June 22nd. I called on Monday June 22nd to schedule the delivery. I scheduled the delivery for Thursday the 25th. I got a call at 9:22 pm the night before the delivery and they told us that some of the items were not coming. They asked us if we still wanted them to deliver it. We told them yes so we called the next morning for clarification of an item that they said was not was in coming. Then they proceeded to tell us that now our whole kit was not available. They never pulled our playset while we waited for the slide they sold our set from underneath us. We than called to speak with the store manager. We told him our story and he was not going to anything about it. He apologized for what happened but really was not helpful for what happened. So we called the corporate office but the only way that you can contact them is through email, fax or mail no actual person. So we asked them to refund our order. I will never buy anything from them again. I am very unhappy with this company. Their customer service skills are terrible. They only care about taking your money. They don’t care anything about you as a person. My 2.5 year old is very upset that she did not get her playset. I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying anything from this company. They truly do not care that they have hurt a child or loss business form this company. I will be telling everyone I know not to shop at this...
Read moreI would like to file a formal complaint against garden associate (possible manager) "ELIZABETH". ON THE DATE OF May 31st my wife and I were shopping for plants. We saw some Green Giant arborvitae on a pallet that were marked for sale (with a very large sign prominently displayed in front of them , which stated that it was an UNADVERTISED SALE)for around $43. We asked the very kind young woman working in land and garden how long the sale would be. She scanned the item and said she wasn't sure but more than likely until they sold them all. The next day my wife and I drove a long distance back to this store to purchase 4 of these plants. When we tried to check out they said the plants were not on sale. They contacted someone from lawn and garden and we met her back there. Her name on her tag was Elizabeth. Elizabeth was nasty and confrontational from the get go. When we said we had already spoken to an associate the day prior she sarcastically said " we have like ten ppl working back here. I don't know who you talked to but I can't sell you those trees at that price. "After we stated was Ohio STATE LAW that she sell us the trees at that price she said she had to contact her store manager. She then proceeded to BLATANTLY LIE to her store manager and told them that the sale sign was tucked away behind the trees. Which was a blatant LIE. She the stated that she herself would "never have thought that sale price" pertained to that item. I started protesting in the background when I heard her lying. Whether she was really talking to the store manager or faking I'm not sure but this woman is a NASTY LIAR and should be fired. The store manager said we could get them at the sale price. I happen to also have proof that thst sale sign was PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED in front of that pallet of arborvitae. The day before I had my wife take my photo right next to them so we could compare their size and price to a few other stores. I have attached the picture. Elizabeth should be fired. Read moreFirst time shopping here. I heard that it was a great place to get kitchen cabinets. So..I purchased 2500 dollars worth of cabinets and wanted to get them delivered. I was told half my order need to be special order and that the delivery time for all my cabinets would be 3 weeks. I wasn't happy about the delivery time but ordered them anyway. I asked, what happens if I find the cabinets some where else, what's time frame I would need to cancel the order? I was told within 48 hours and once the vendor confirmed the cancellation the money would be refunded. I found the cabinets somewhere else that had all but 2 in stock, so I called Menards within 24 hrs of ordering the cabinets and cancel my order. Now heres where it gets good.I canceled my order but got no confirmation of canceling from the girl on the phone. Just a simple "ok I'll cancel it now you'll get the refund when the vendor confirms cancelation". After I hung up I thought that was odd. How would I prove I called to cancel withing 48 hours? So I had to call back and ask for an email confirming I canceled in time. 3 days go by nothing. I called back into Menards , to check on the cancellation and the manager was rude as hell stating that she was the manager and the special order I canceled was not special order but stock items. I asked her where was my refund for the cabinets.. she told me that the return didn't go through and that she would have to put it through again and that the refund should take 48-72 hrs to post to my account. 3 days go by and still nothing. Called back, spoke to the GM. He stated that special order was cancelled but the stock cabinets of my order was not and no refund was issued. I went through two people to simply cancel my order and it still didn't get done. Now here I am a week later, out 2500 waiting for my refund. The GM wasn't much help besides "canceling" my order for the 3rd time and telling me it will now take 3-7 business days to be refunded to my account...
