I have to admit that it was the music playing that made me happy, being an oldie myself I loved shopping to Willis Alan Ramsey. Lisa still plays it, along with its great rock and country friends, so that whether you’re learning beautiful techniques and skills in one of the fun and valuable classes! or picking out treasures from the highest quality beads, gems, tools, findings and materials, you are comfortable relaxed. (Not to mention well-fed from the stores of cookies and candy set around the shop. Lisa is the artist/owner/teacher, and naturally she’s proud of shop; she is so knowledgeable about every aspect of her art and her business and she stocks her store accordingly! I’m sure if I hadn’t gone to this place I wouldn’t be going to any place now, and certainly wouldn’t be making better and better metal-smithing and beading art (yes, I can say art now) or having as much fun. I have gone on pretty long, but hey, it’s my 5-year review! If I need a vacuum cleaner I’ll go online, but if I want personal interaction and instruction, personal knowledge of the products, hands-on, eyes-on evaluation of the beads and gemstones, plus the fun of the classes (meaning you, ladies [women]) I will always choose Lisa’s Beadoholique first! ToysRus for beaders and jewelers!!! I love the place, went for first time few days ago and I was fascinated with the quality and variety of products, including sterling silver, It is a fantastic place where to go, see, explore and fill the basket with a palette of beads and elements. I love having a place where physically go and buy oh so different than buying online! The beads you buy is what you get, while online sometimes opening a package is a bad surprise. I will be back, specially for the great quality sterling. The person taking care of me allowed me is great, took care of everything and I left with what I needed. Not a very friendly place to visit. I brought my daughter in one day and I gave my daughter my phone so that she could sit and watch a movie and not be tempted to touch and play with things at the store. My mother-in-law and I were the only two people there and the only employee that was there tells me if I mind telling my daughter to lower the volume on the phone. It was not even loud. The employee had music playing at the store too and I said yes I mind and I just left. I never came back. I have been to vintage shops here in Houston that have seen I have a daughter and ask if she would like to play with kids toys they have on hand so that I could shop. I love supporting small businesses but after this, I'd rather shop online...
