I visited this nail salon for the first time today, and I truly regret giving them a chance. I had seen the numerous one-star reviews beforehand and should have taken them seriously, but I wanted to keep an open mind. Unfortunately, my experience was just as disappointing—if not worse.
I requested a very simple service: shellac polish on my natural nails, which are quite short. From the moment I arrived, the young girl at the front desk was incredibly rude, rolling her eyes at me and speaking with a nasty attitude. I initially brushed it off, thinking she might be having a bad day, but her behavior continued throughout my entire visit.
What truly shocked me was when she told me that because I’m “Black,” the nail color wouldn’t look as good on me as it does on the tester strips. As someone of mixed race with a lighter complexion, I was taken aback by such an ignorant and offensive remark. In hindsight, I should have walked out right then.
To make matters worse, when I inquired about getting my toes polished, the staff immediately started speaking in Chinese, laughing and making comments at my expense. It was clear they were mocking me, which made me even more uncomfortable. At that point, I decided not to proceed with the service.
Beyond the unprofessionalism, this experience was outright discriminatory. No customer should ever feel disrespected, let alone subjected to racism at a business. I strongly urge others to take the reviews seriously and take their...
Read moreBerries is my go to nail show. Aiden, the owner does my nails, I make an appointment with him each time I go, and he creates beautiful art every time. I have gone to many of the other technicians as well and they are very talented and do great work too. I see some of these bad reviews, and I wonder who these people are??? if they are competitors, etc. recently I was in the shop when what kids today were referred to as a “Karen” went off on everyone working because she was not being Worked on by two people, this woman came in at a extremely busy time. There were not two people available to work on her. And she ranted on and on about the terrible service. It’s a shame that hard-working people who take pride in their work have to deal with these types of mean, spirited, angry clients during the holidays or any day. I’ve been coming here for years and have always had a good customer service experience. PS the ridiculous comments about them, speaking in their language and assumptions that they’re speaking about Their clients is bigoted and ignorant. Why shouldn’t they speak their language in their own shop? May I remind everybody that English is nobody’s original language, who did not originate in certain countries in Europe. Let these people live and prosper. They deserve it. They work hard and are great at...
Read moreI was going here frequently for various services; manicure, pedicure, eyebrows and lashes, but I stopped last year when they kept messing up my Shellac (gel) pedicure. The polish is not supposed to come off when you put on shoes. Anyway, I stopped going. I decided to go on Saturday (6/24) and I took my mother. Well, my mother's finger was cut, but the lady insisted it would be all right and did everything to make up for it. She was very nice. Now, Tracy was my manicurist and she was a 🤬. She got mad at me because she was doing a poor job and I kept showing where she messed up. She said, "you don't like yo' nails?" I said not if it's not done right. So she grabbed my hands, worked on my nails and pushed my hands back to me saying, "how 'bout now?" First, don't handle me in such a rude and unprofessional manner, but I just said that's better and thank you. Then Tracy said something in her language that I KNOW was derogatory because two of the ladies stopped working and looked at me then back to her. I told her that I knew she said something ugly towards me and I asked if she wanted to stop doing my nails. So, she smiled and said, "No, I was saying your cuticles. See? (While pointing to my nails) Really Tracy????🤨 There are too many nail salons to choose from that will respect their customers. I...
