I applied to adopt two kittens and went through the entire application process and interview on FaceTime with Teresa. My FT interview was at 5 pm and she logged in two minutes after 6 pm. She asked three question which took less than a minute and told me that she would let me know by Sunday if I would be able to adopt the two kittens I applied for. The next Saturday they had an adoption event in Tustin, so I decided to go visit and see other kittens. My family and I went there together, as soon as we walked in we saw the kittens that I applied for. Teresa came over and talked to us, but the tone of her voice was rude and dismissive. She said āI told you that I would let you know by Sundayā and came close to the kittensā cage and slapped an adopted sing on the side of the cage. She said āI had no idea that you are coming today, someone already adopted them.ā What made me sad was how rude and inconsiderate Teresa was to me. I had the feeling that Teresa already had someone else in mind to adopt the kittens, which was perfectly fine. However, Teresaās demeanor made me rethink again not to adopt any kittens from them. They had plenty of kittens around, plus they had tons ok kittens on line and soon to be born that she couldāve offered me to apply for. Instead she kicked me in the behind and let me walk out disappointed and sad. It seemed that they favor who they want to adopt their kittens, which is very wrong. I will never contact them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. I really think that they need to reconsider their peopleās skills, be more kind, empathetic, and considerate. Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease beware of adopting from this rescue. After adopting my new kitten and taking him home, Teresa (one of the founders of the rescue), messaged me because she forgot to microchip my kitten and finish his vaccinations. This was an immediate red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, I also noticed fleas on my new kitten. I contacted Teresa again and she said she would give him a flea medication along with the vaccine and microchip. So, I reluctantly drove to her home. A couple days later, I requested a vet checkup due to concerns about his health. They offered to do it for free, but I got the impression that the doctor working with them barely looked at my kitten and just handed him back to me saying he was healthy (I wasnāt allowed to be in the appointment).
A month later, I took my kitten to my vet because he had signs of a cold or respiratory infection (possibly from the other kittens he was living with), and found out that the sketchy vet from before did not even administer the vaccines correctly! The timing was off and he didnāt get a booster shot. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was referred to Teresa and Tiny Paws and Whiskers through my VCA vet. Our business area was inundated with feral cats! Around 30 homeless felines. We discovered a litter of kittens in our gated parking lot and knew immediately that we would need assistance in getting them. Teresa and her partner immediately jumped into action and this was one of several litters they rescued from our property and surrounding businesses. Not only did they save many lives, they continued to come back, day after day, week after week to TNR dozens of cats. Thanks to them, the colony was under control! These dynamic women volunteer their time and energy out of pure dedication . AND, they work full time! I had to call upon her again due to a new pregnant female that wandered into our business. Mommy and 5 beautiful kittens were rescued today. My heart is bursting! If only everyone had this much commitment and compassion to make an animals life better ...... This organization has been there for me, over and over. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to adopt a fur baby (babies). Do not hesitate. They are a non profit...
