My family visited Rodeway for 2 days last year on a personal trip but this time, we found ourselves needing to do some business in the Cypress area and because of the peace and quiet we experienced before; it was a no brainer that again we chose Rodeway. | |We were only scheduled to be there for 1 week but ended up extending and here is why the atmosphere was warm, cozy and inviting, primarily because of its great people. The manager, Amit, was pleasant, comical (at times, which was so refreshing) and attentively answered or followed up with any of our questions or requests. | |Another employee who stood out at the Rodeway Inn was Soleima (the primary maid), who assisted us while we were there, and we found her to be very professional, meticulous and efficient at her duties. We also found her to be quite pleasant, which helped to make our overall stay significantly above average. | |This location was a ray of light, comfortable, the employees courteous, the environment quiet, the building area and rooms clean and immaculate, the parking lot well-lit (which is great security for families) and the ambiance, peaceful and perfect for our needs. Again, originally, we were only going to stay one week but decided to extend our stay significantly because of these qualities. | |The breakfast experience was welcoming! They had fresh waffles, a variety of fruit juices, delicious pastries, different cereals, a variety of muffins, croissants, Danishes, along with hot chocolate, coffee, milk, bread, and a variety of jams, yum, yum! | |The rooms were VERY clean with recessed lights that can be dimmed or brightened; the bathrooms were superb, there were many TV channels to choose from along with ice cold air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. Our room faced eastward and with the large room window, that let in the morning sun in, it just made the stay, that more special. Though some of us are sticklers when it comes to dust, cleanliness and attention to details, these rooms did not disappoint. Thank you, Soleima!! | |If you choose to stay on the ground floor, we noticed that you could drive up to your room. There was also an ice machine which we made great use of. Amit was always soo gracious, kind and helpful and continually went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Thank you, Amit!! | |The property is clean and it’s obvious that Amit and management take great pride in catering to practically all of their guests’ needs; the nearest beaches are Seal Beach and Huntington Beach… each is less than 10 miles away and Disneyland is less than 8 miles away; this is one of the places that many celebs and professional athletes come to, to get away from it all (we’ve seen several). | |All-in-all, it was the perfect environment for getting our work done (which we did). Compliments to Amit, Soleima and everyone else working in tandem to keep Rodeway Inn Cypress one of Orange County’s hidden...
Read moreRacists. Possible terrorist and I am less to believe their laundering money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I I have way too much to say about this place it would be a really nice place because it is really nice except the people that work there are absolutely racist and judgemental when it let me stay another night he said he was full so I go online and order the room there instead and then when I go back downstairs to the office to get my new room assignment he says I told you you can't stay here and then you proceeded to say because I had a guest over the night before nowhere on that property does it say that you are not allowed to have a guest in a room that sleeps 3 and besides that I spoke with him the night before because I had an issue with my air conditioner and mention to him that I would be having somebody come over that's just one of many things that happened that day awful absolutely terrible experience I do not feel safe with them in my neighborhood knowing what I know now like I said I do not recommend this place avoid it like a plague and I am not one to leave bad reviews but besides the property itself these people don't let you enjoy your night, any of it because they're so full of hate I believe they're terrorist I really do and that's not just because they picked on me it wasn't just me it was every single person there which wasn't very many mind you. Read moreI should start this review by saying how apprehensive I was about staying at this hotel. This is not somewhere I would have normally stayed, but I was using my ChoiceHotel points for a free night stay, and I figured beggars can't be choosers.
I was pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel. The establishment was very clean. When we entered the office, the manager greeted us. He was extremely friendly. He offered us a choice of rooms, and even offered to take us on a tour of the rooms before we chose (the two rooms had different sized beds, so he was being diligent). We chose the room with the larger bed.
Each room has a massive walk-in shower. The manager informed me that each bathroom used to have a large Jacuzzi style tub, but they were not getting much use so they removed them and installed massive showers in their place. We really loved that shower. I wish I had one that size at home.
Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room had a small refrigerator and a microwave. The large flat panel tv worked great and this hotel has one of the better cable connection that I have ever used at a hotel.
The free continental breakfast in the morning could use a little work, unless you like dry cereal or bagels the size of bight sized donuts. I prefer to have breakfast at a restaurant when I am on vacation, so I only saw the free breakfast as I was checking out.
With all of this said, I will gladly stay at this hotel again. It is only a few minutes away from Disneyland, and there are a lot of restaurants and shopping areas within close proximity...
