Flat White Coffee is a artisan coffee shop with several specialty lattes. We ordered the Spanish and lavender latte. Both were a little bit bitter and unfortunately there is no condiment station to add extra sugar, or simply to get stirring sticks/napkins & etc. My wife ask to get more sweetener and her latte since it still tasted a bit bitter. The barista was very dry and indifferent with facial expressions that indicated he doesn't want to work or be there.
It's never a good look for an employee to talk amongst the other staff after "assisting" a customer and see them mumble under there breath.
Some feedback for the business owner. Please focus on your employees customer service skills and maybe add a condiment station since the coffee still tastes a bit better. I understand that some chefs or baristas have their specific recipes however it doesn't mean everyone shares that same taste pallette. We came here because this coffee shop is supposed to be competitive with Coffee Code, The Mug and Phin Smiths but it didn't meet the other locations standards of service.
The easiest thing to implement in a business is great customer service. To smile is free to be friendly is free to make eye contact is free...you get the point.
In conclusion, the bad taste that never goes away is always bad...
Read moreAngie, the owner, makes fantastic coffee and they have some incredible pour over that I enjoy. Before this pandemic, my wife and I also enjoyed their bakery goods which were being made every morning. Very friendly staffs and wonderful Angie who was/is always informative and helpful. However, it pains me to say that the skills (latte/flat white making skills) of their habitually changing employees represent a greater challenges in this trying time. Basically, none of them can make a decent latte or flat white, any espresso based drinks. Lack of skill, attention to their craftsmanship or even their awareness of who they are and what they want to achieve are intensely inadequate. I just hope that Angie can find a few good employees who are well trained enough to make some decent espresso based drinks and be able to stay and grow in Flat White Coffee shop. I truly hope that they...
Read moreI like that they make ice cubes with coffee. No watered down coffee there. I got the Einspanner. ( I think that's the correct spelling) It was yummy. I also got the pretzel croissant, which was also agreeably edible. My two complaints are; that the shop is loud and echoey. It's hard to hear and carry on a conversation. Granted I am hard if hearing so the background noise was overwhelming. And, there's no menu to choose from while waiting in line. The menu is a small (8.5" x11") sheet of paper right by the register. So, I didn't get to read the whole list because I didn't want to hold up the line. All in all, I will definitely try...
