Worst experience with this IHOP To be fair the food was decent. The service by this particular woman was nasty!! My boyfriend and I were seated immediately by a nice man . Our waitress Maria took our drink order, brought our coffee and was ready to take our order. I wasn't ready just yet so she came back shortly and asked again a which time I said give me one more min. She came back a few mins later looking bothered, I thought maybe she's dealing with something. I asked what's in the veggie omelette she said well... looks like mushrooms... Ummm (I thought well yes it shows that in the picture) I felt like she was saying "what you see is what you get!" She then said with attitude well...let me look it up. I said great. I decided to ignore her attitude...again I thought maybe she's having a bad day. I ordered the omelette, and my boyfriend ordered his omelette. My boyfriends omelette arrived in good time with an extra plate which I thought was odd. I patiently waited for my omelette to arrive, but it never did. I thought you know what it's okay I actually wasn't that hungry anyway and my boyfriend probably wont finish his food so we shared. 20 mins passed and Maria never came back to refill our coffee or check on us so I got up and asked another waitress if she could kindly bring us coffee and to clean plates or ask our waitress to come by please. This young girl who's name I think started with a K had such a kind, soft, courteous, beautiful attitude, and she quickly brought us what we asked for without hesitation kudos to "K". Some time after we got our coffee refill, Maria re-apeared and asked if we needed anything and I replied, no we're good we got our coffee. Maria replied, yeah I know (with a snotty attitude) and left. We next saw her when she dropped off the bill. We put cash on the table as she came by to pick it up. Maria got the money and stood closely pressed up against our table and asked if we needed change. We said yes, please. She stood pressed against the table with her apron over the our table fumbling through her cash huffing and puffing for several minutes as if pretending not to be able to find the appropriate amount and or implying to keep our change for her tip at least that's the vibe I got. We gave her over 15% tip which I thought was more than generous considering . Keeping the change would have meant a 25% tip for her terrible unjust service Honestly she deserved less but I know she has to make a living. I did end up calling the restaurant after I left because I thought maybe she had charged us for the extra omelette I ordered and never got. I spoke to a man who really didn't know what I was talking about, he asked if I knew who our server was, and of course I said, yes. Maria got on the phone and said she didn't know who I was so I described exactly where I had been sitting only 15 minutes ago with my boyfriend. She then remembered. I asked her if she had accidentally overcharged us for the omelette I never got. She said "you never ordered another omelette and plus you guys took an entire day to order your food so....." . I said excuse me??? . She then said "well you took forever!". I was stumped by her reply. We weren't even there an hour all together, but it was pointless to tell her this from what I could see. I mean...I can't believe IHOP has a woman like this representing this particular establishment and their company name. Maybe Maria could find a job where doesn't talk to people directly or at all! I t's unfortunate I actually paid for service that was less than pleasant. Regardless..why does anyone have treat anybody this way? It was unnecessary . After she said what she said Maria gave the phone back to the man who then kindly explained to me that prices went up and only one omelette and two coffees were charged. I said thank you for explaining that to me, I appreciate it. I told him of my experience with Maria sparing him details he was at least sympathetic to my concern . For now I will not be returning to this particular IHOP even if it's close to...

Q) Rodney, you're an on-again, off-again regular at IHOP. Why is that? A) Rodney, it's the promos that suck me back in! I receive free Rooty Tooty Fresh N' Fruity coupons for my birthday month & email club anniversary, there are 20% off coupons in the circulars & for all the sexy seniors - Wednesday is Senior Night, with a free entree with purchase of an entree & 2 drinks from 3pm - 9pm.
Q) Are you fan of their namesake pancakes? A) I am! I've partaken of their pumpkin pancakes, New York cheesecake pancakes and, if I remember correctly, their red velvet pancakes. They were all sinfully good. I try to stay away from grains now, but for those who like pancakes, then indulge in one of their fluffy stacks.
Q) What did you have during your last visit, Rodney? A) I had the bacon, avocado cheddar cheese omelet, Rodney. It came with choice of toast, pancakes, hash browns, fresh fruit, etc. I love the crispity crunch of hash browns, so those were what I selected. The omelet was good, with large strips of bacon wrapped in fluffy egg, liberally sprinkled with cheddar cheese. A whole avocado sliced & placed on top capped the dish. Once my avocado trees start having a good yield of fruit, I think I'll take an avocado with me whenever I dine out. That way, I can add the creamy, unctuous fattiness of avocado w/o having to pay extra for it ;p Portions were good and, with a smathering of Cholula hot sauce, was a satisfying meal.
Q) How was the sevice? Any other thoughts? A) Service was sufficient. It seemed our server was busy handling other orders, but wasn't complete avoidance on her part. Ample booth seating. The restaurant was clean and parking is plentiful in a private lot shared by Jack in the Box, Subway, Enterprise etc.
Q) Will you be back, Rodney? A) Those promos are the bait that hooks this big ol' bass again & again. So, uh yeah, I'll be...
Read moreUpdate: the management called me soon after posting this. They were able to retrieve the phone and return it to her the next day. 70-year-old grandmother loses her phone in booth and the manager, unbelievably, refuses to retrieve it. Yes, you read that right. My grandma was in there Saturday having lunch with her other granddaughter and three great-grandchildren and her phone slipped in between the wall and the booth bench. No big deal, right? Wrong. Three awesome waiters (Jesus, Miguel and Jack) tried to help her get it until the manager told them to stop. Understandable, as it was the lunch rush. Yet the manager didn't offer to look for it, but instead told her that it was gone forever and to forget about it, saying there were 3-5 other phones lost in other booths around the restaurant. This is an $800 iPhone, not a pen or a receipt, but something my retired grandmother now has to find a way to repurchase. He was also very rude to her throughout the entire ordeal until my grandma felt she had no other choice but to leave and buy a new phone. Another disgusting fact: If they can't get a phone out, how do you think they get fallen food out? Or clean the area? Is this real life right now? I'd like someone to...
