Showed up for our reservation to be told they only had smoking rooms. Our reservation clearly states NON SMOKING. The owner said take it or leave it. Now-We went directly through Wyndham, not Expedia, not Hotwire, or anyone else, but directly through their main company. We explained our daughter has asthma, and we were down for a soccer tournament and couldn’t risk her health. He still said to just leave then because he did not have non smoking rooms available, and took it upon himself to cancel our reservation after we told him that online they still showed a non smoking room available. Now put on the spot, he proceeds to yell and threaten to call the police if we didn’t get off the premises. So we call Wyndhams customer care line, and they were useless besides admitting that the owner prioritized making more $$ rather than doing what was right and because our reservation was so far in advance, we got a super good deal, but he wanted more $$. They weren’t willing to help us in the least. The owner is a joke and I used to love staying with Wyndhams hotels, but after this experience, I will never again waste my time. So the night before my daughters tournaments, we’re searching hi and low for a hotel! Definitely reporting the owner to the BBB, as well as Wyndham themselves because what they have done to us is so far...
Read moreReserved a room for a week. The first room they gave me on the first floor seemed okay, until j noticed the urine splattered on the bathroom walls. The bed was stained as well. Everything had a sticky feeling, I wasn't sleeping in that room. So I asked to be moved. They changed my room. This one smelled rank and had a torn up couch in it. The same stains on the walls and a cracked up sink that was glued back together. The smell was really harsh so I went to the store and bought disinfectant and febreze. I ended up cleaning the room to get the ick off of everything including washing the light switches. The pillows were flat and the bed didn't have a protector on it. I slept there one night and just left I couldn't handle it. I didn't ask for a refund because I knew the owner wasn't going to give it up.not very talkative and seemed to just want us out of the lobby. I'm in contact with Wyndham hotels because I'm a gold member and couldn't believe they would actually endorse an establishment in such disrepair. Needless to say Studio 6 down the street is much cleaner and is privately owned. The owners take care of the motel and upgrades are nice. Its an older building but you wouldn't know it. Just don't stay at motel 8 unless you have welfare vouchers or...
Read moreThis place is great, and while they could improve on a few things, they are still my first choice for a budget motel in the area.
I added a lot of photos I took of dirt and webs about the room, which cleaning staff should be hanging their heads over. Despite the missteps in cleaning, the room is very spacious and comes with a new flat screen, a mini fridge and a little microwave. Plus it's one of the few places that still has smoking rooms available.
Beds are comfy and the sheets are clean whenever I've stayed. Plus it sits on a large solid block of a base, which keeps it looking cleaner VS beds that collect dust bunnies and more in full view if you cared to bend down and check.
We saw one doors battle scar that looked suspiciously like it was made from an enthusiastic battering ram some time ago.
Some guests hang out with the doors open or in front of their rooms. Usually not the hallmark of the classiest establishments around, but guests haven't been loud or rowdy any time I've been here.
The night manager is not the most welcoming or friendly person but he mans the check in counter / night window all throughout the night so you can get there without worrying about whether or not you'll be able...
