I had a terrible experience with Javier Zamora Jewelry Repair, and I cannot recommend his services to anyone. I brought in a sentimental ring to have the stone replaced, explaining that I had been the victim of a robbery, and all my inherited jewelry from my mother had been stolen. Javier and I agreed that I would bring in some of my own gold to complete another ring I had, which needed a stone. Due to personal setbacks, including storm damage to my home and a serious illness, I wasn’t able to follow up immediately.

Without waiting for my gold or consulting with me, Javier completed the ring, using his own stone and gold, and then called to charge me for materials I had never agreed to. I was deeply upset that he didn't wait or consult me first, so I delayed picking up the ring for several months.

We crossed paths at Walmart, and he assured me that there was no rush to collect the ring. Imagine my shock when I called a short time later to arrange to pick it up, only to be told that he had SOLD it! I was absolutely devastated. The setting belonged to me, and only the stone was his—he had no right to sell my ring.

This situation has been deeply upsetting, and I feel completely betrayed by Javier’s actions. His lack of communication and disregard for my property is unacceptable, and I regret ever trusting him with something so precious to me.

It’s clear from Florida state law that Javier Zamora did not follow the legal requirements before selling my ring. He failed to notify me via certified mail or provide me with any notice of his intent to dispose of my ring. Additionally, he did not return the proceeds minus his fee, as required by law.
