We had an extremely mixed experience. The food was fantastic.

We were quite surprised that when we arrived we were offered a seat at the bar when there was clearly a table available. We asked that we be seated at the table and they complied.

My app, yellow peppers , the special app of the day, stuffed with sausage, was awesome, though it was disappointing I needed to ask for it's price ......she indicated they were $15 and the bill showed they were $21. That's very unacceptable. My spaghetti with a side of meatballs was nicely presented in a nest, though the portion was very small for spaghetti.

My soulmate had two stuffed pastas , with a braised pear topped with feta cheese we think or goat cheese perhaps. She said that food was exceptional. The warm rolls at the beginning with the herbed oil were wonderful, though it did feel chintzy that we were charged $3 for extra rolls.

Our great disappointments were the service when we arrived. We were told that we would either have waitstaff a or waitstaff B and once assigned a wait staff, the waitress seemed disinterested in serving us. At one point I needed something raised my hand very clearly as she was approaching our table and she just walked past . Because I wanted my food not to get cold waiting for her to come back I stopped another waitstaff and asked him for what I needed and he complied quickly but then gave me a backhanded comment and said so and so is your waitress . Again, not acceptable. Service by our waitress improved somewhat over the course of the evening. She missed standard procedure of checking our satisfaction levels until late in our entrees . Our greatest disappointment was the sketchy method of adding a 20% gratuity without disclosing that verbally to us and a 4% extra charge for use of a credit card without disclosing that. A high-end restaurant should have advised us of those two extra charges. The automatic gratuity of 20% should have been disclosed very clearly. And likewise, the 4% credit card charge should have been disclosed and even if those were written in tiny letters on the menu, they should have been verbalized.

To demonstrate the non-sequiturs and disconnections between excellence and failing grades throughout our meal, a high-end restaurant that can automatically charge a 20% gratuity should have wait staff that know what the soup of the day is without having to go back to the kitchen and ask. A cannoli, at $9, is overpriced. The tiramisu was adequate.

Serious dis-connects and polar opposites in quality exist for Olio , at least in our experience this past Thursday evening. I'm deeply hopeful that olio will respond to this because if not, I'm not sure we'll be back, which is truly a tragedy because the food was...

We ate dinner on 10/18/23 and were very impressed! To begin, our server, Desiree was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about the menu, as well as how the chef prepares each dish. She was very professional without being stuffy, and made is feel both comfortable and attended to. Next, one word, the BREAD!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Desiree informed us that the chef prides herself on making the bread every morning, and it shows!! The bread is light, fluffy and very flavorful -yum! Our entrees arrived quickly and we were not disappointed. I had the Tomato Shrimp Scampi, which came with four jumbo shrimp atop a bed of perfectly cooked fettuccine, along with cherry tomatoes and spinach. The sauce was light and flavorful. My dining companion had the Pollo Cremora, a beautifully seasoned chicken breast on a bed of delicious penne pasta. The sauce was light but full of flavor. Lastly was dessert. I opted for the classic tiramisu and she had the dessert special (described as a date "meatball" drizzled with a chef's choice of sauces. My tiramisu was delicious, but this is where my only criticism comes from. The presentation was two ice cream scoops of the dessert drizzled with a bit of fudge sauce. I'd expected the classic presentation of a square of the dessert. So, if that's the only complaint, I think they're doing something very right! The date meatball dessert was also very good, just not what my dining companion expected. But, delicious. Overall, this place is a true gem in Dade City. I am already planning to return with family and friends, both for lunch as well as dinner. If you're planning a visit, I recommend coming hungry!! There are so many delicious choices on the menu that you'll need to return again and again to experience all the amazing dishes. Run, don't...

This place is wonderful! It has a classy comfortable atmosphere as well as a full bar and beautiful drinks flowing to tables around us. The food was phenomenal!!! You know when you finally eat something so good you say to yourself, “I have not had a meal this good in a long time”, well this is that place. Let’s just say behind every bite was a yummmm sound coming from both my husband and I. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had a pork and eggplant dish and it was wonderful as well. We are talking top notch tastes here and presentations. The bread on the table was fresh and soft, the asparagus was fabulous. The potatoes with my steak had butter and cheese in them. The flavors of everything were 5 stars. We ended our meal with spaghetti, homemade ice cream with raspberry sauce and it was real homemade ice cream with something white chocolate crumbles like in it and it was like nothing we have ever had. My husband is the sweet tooth fanatic and he could not stop eating it. Our server Melissa was so sweet and she kept out glasses full. She really helped us navigate the menu and was so personable and attentive. Andy the owner came by our table and talked to us personally and knowing my husband had to go back to work at the Sheriff’s office after a large meal that could feed us 4 times over, brought us an expresso on the house to give us both a pep in our step before we left. His wife is the chef and she was really fantastic. She really knows what she is doing. The food and service we received was big city fancy dining. We are already spreading the word. The menu is perfectly designed you won’t be disappointed. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I gave six stars because 5 is not enough! We will be...

This is a wonderful family restaurant! We drove down from the Leesburg area to try Olio and were not disappointed. Although they do not take reservations, the wait for a table was minimal. We made plans to meet friends at 6p and waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was BUSY and as the servers walked by with food deliveries for their tables, we got to see many different dishes. Everything looked awesome. Big portions and beautifully plated. The dining room is not large and they make good use of the space. There’s a few tables outside as well. This seems like a very popular spot with locals. Once we were seated our server Lilliana was attentive and informative. Although the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. We were served garlic rolls which were very tasty to carry us over while we waited for our meal. The kitchen was busy and it took some time to get our food. We were busy with conversation and not in a rush, so not an issue. We did not get appetizers. Two in the part ordered the seafood medley “Perla’s taste of the sea”, lamb chops “Josh’s choice”, and the mushroom chicken. The seafood medley was good, nicely seasoned and nicely prepared and plated. Both people who got the seafood medley enjoyed it and would get it again. The lamb chops were very tasty, although they were a little over cooked for my taste. The mushroom chicken was dressed in a red pepper sauce which was fantastic. I found the chicken to be a little overcooked as well. We will definitely be back.

We visited Olio on 5/4/24 for lunch and had the best experience! We ordered the grilled calamari which was just beyond words! I don't think I've ever had a better plate of calamari in my life. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan and I had the fig flatbread potatoes with the house pinot grigio. Half of my meal went home with me and it was so good (twice). The service was some of the best service we have received. Frederico was absolutely wonderful, attentive, and very helpful with the menu. We were already planning our next visit on our ride home. We decided to return the following weekend for mother's day. Again, we were blown away by the service and the incredible meals. My husband ordered the pork steak special and could not finish it (it was formidable). My son ordered the tortellini and was so happy with it! He's a pasta enthusiast, so that is high praise! I ordered the branzino.... and I'm not even sure where to begin other than to say WOW. The fish was brought out and fileted in from of me by one of the owners (thank you, Tarzan!). I took more than half of it home, but what I enjoyed at the restaurant was so incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and overall amazing. My husband and son shared the Spaghetti Ice Cream for dessert.... such a fun dessert experience! We, again, are already planning our next visit.

My wife and I drove up from Wesley Chapel last night and had dinner at Olio after another couple highly recommended it. We sat at the bar and started with Espresso Martini's prepared by Sam with real espresso and they were excellent. The complimentary garlic bread was perfectly soft and tasty served with an olive oil dip and garlic cloves. We knew if we ate it all that we might not have room for dinner, but we couldn't resist. We ordered the grilled calamari and it was the best calamari dish we have ever had. The calamari was so soft you could easily cut it with a fork, unlike most calamari that is chewy. My wife had the Sacchetti Alle Perfe E Zafferano pasta (pasta purses stuffed with pear and cheese served in a saffron sauce), which was so unique and amazing! I had the Perlas Tase of the Sea Special (grilled sea bass, shrimp, and mussels served with polenta and sugar peas), which also came with grilled calamari, a small serving of fresh greens, potatoes and shishito peppers. Wow, once again another amazing dish. Sam was an excellent bartender and we met the owner Andi and enjoyed his story of how Olio came to be. He also recommended a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was very good. We were so full we couldn't try dessert, but we will definitely be back and will spread the word!
