We went here to celebrate my daughter and nieces birthdays and I would never return. There were flies and fruit flies in the food. We were charged full price per person and one person ate nothing and the other didn't drink tea. We had a regular reservation and were apparently designated as a "afternoon tea" that is 20 per person, we did not want this package we only were going to eat from the menu,by the time we realized we were told once the food comes to the table you cannot send anything back. I sent back a pink lemonade and was told I was still charged because I ordered it. I was accused of trying to skip out on the bill after it was already paid (9 dollars off for the food) allergy) but had already paid 91.00 dollars. I am not cheap and could afford the tea but it was the principle behind everything. We had no intention of skipping out on the bill. I have never skipped out on a bill in my life. The rudeness was beyond anything I have ever seen. I left and was outside writing down the name of the company to file a complaint and ensure the health inspectors get notified and the owner came out and yelled at me again in front of the people I was talking to. I am completely offended that a disabled veteran would be treated...
Read moreWe went camping this weekend and thought it would be fun to have a girls day and come to this tea room. Well, let me say I am not sure if the lady was the owner or a worker but we will Never go back. She was rude as rude comes. Not just to us but to others as well. I have never see someone huff and puff and roll eyes more than this lady. If you don’t like your job quit it take a break but when you are suppose to be pleasing customers that is far from the way to do it!! My daughter was talking about hot chocolate from the Christmas event going on and the lady said something like you could have ordered it. And my daughter said I did not know you could and the lady said you would have if you read the menu! First off my daughter is 10 and you don’t talk to anyone especially a child like that. And that was one thing there were a few more things that were done and said! All I can say is we will not be going back we all felt like we were putting her out and I would have rather spent money some place else. I will pray for her! I understand everyone has a bad day but she talked to a couple people in our group like we were a bother and we could Not believe how she talked to some of the other customers! She needs prayer for peace...
Read moreWe visited at 2 on Saturday (2 people). The staff was friendly and welcoming. Each of us had the luncheon tea (no reservation needed). The sandwiches were cute and tasty. The cucumber finger sandwiches are always my favorite and this was no exception. They had a curried egg salad sandwich which was different and delicious. My fiancé doesn’t eat egg salad and ate this sandwich and loved it. The scones were warm and delicious and served with Devonshire cream. The tea was served with cream, sugar cubes and honey. Plenty of seating and very lovely decor inside. Made it feel like you were outside in a garden. Loved the experience. So glad we were able to make it in time. Their gift shop included teas to buy in bulk. I didn’t buy anything but was very tempted. Maybe next...
