I was going to the other location for a while but then one day I booked my appointment at this location accidentally. I decided to give it a try and it turned out better so I decided to keep going to this location. Mostly because the lady doing my nails had really pretty designs. But little did I know, my nails were being filed excessively. I would always tell her it burned a little, but she would say it was the metal from the machine and the acrylic nail getting too hot against each other and no harm was happening to the actual nail. I trusted her. But then one day after my appointment, two of my nails broke while opening up the fridge. It was right down the middle of my nails so the two fingers were bleeding alot. They hurt so bad. I went back in a week because they hurt so bad and I didn't want anyone to touch them. So then I went back and I was met with 0 compassion. The owner looked at me like I was lying, it was only when I told her that I was asking for my money back and just wanted someone to fix them she got nicer. So I went ahead and still booked an appointment with her with a promise of a discount. But then I thought about it and decided to just spend my hard earned money else where. I didn't care about my deposit. My nail technician ruined my nails and honestly that's not the part I cared about. I cared about how mean they were after instead of empathizing with my situation. I loved their nail salon and had been a customer for months, I even brought them my sister and my bestfriend. For them to look at me like a liar or drama queen was just wrong. They lost a loyal customer! Pay attention to your nails ladies, if something feels wrong, there probably is...
Read moreI would give them 5 stars but the receptionist is the worse receptionist on the planet! Some one needs to take her through training for what a receptionist is and how to efficiently and effectively do the job she was hired to do because clearly she has not been trained. I have had three negative experiences with her and I've only been going to the nail salon for about a month and a half! The first time, I called to see if the nail tech could take a same day appointment, I was told no the don't do same day appointment but she was available to do my nails right then. I advised that I would arrive in 15 minutes, upon my arrival 10 minutes later I was told that she had an appointment in 30 minutes. As the receptionist she should have checked her appointments before telling me I could just walk in. The second time, to avoid issues I walked in and made an appointment, she didn't bother to ask me what services I wanted done (i.e. nails and pedi, just nail a new set or a fill, etc) so she could determine the time she needed to block off for my appointment, she told me that all tech get a two hour window blocked for appointments. Yesterday, I arrived for my appointment and she asked me are you getting a fill! My reply was idk what I'm going to get done, but you told me I have a two hour window to get it done in. Her reply was I was trying to see if she needed the whole two hours to do your nails because we have a lot of walk-ins today. My nail tech Soco is amazing follow her on IG at unikenailsbysoco to see her work. But that receptionist isn't going to grow your business if anything she is going...
Read morePresentation: This establishment is dirty! They have plexiglass but it is dirty and staff does not wear mask. I was told they didn’t do dip due to COVID-19, however I found that their way of sanitizing and safety precautions are no where near CDC nor Cosmetology guidelines. I witnessed their form of sanitation which was spray alcohol on tools, wipe down and store.
Service: The young lady who attended me was unprofessional. She took two phone calls while doing my nails; one to her children and another to her dad. Their way of removing dip was drilling vs acetone soaking. Per staff due to “dip being such a strong product that the Chinese people use” so I was told they only used non-toxic acrylic “which is way better than the toxic dip”. My real nail was drilled to the point of breaking and even then you could still see my previous dip color under the new acrylic. My experience was sad. I had high hopes for this place due to 4 star reviews and wanting to support local businesses. However, I walked out paying $65 for an acrylic overlay on my natural nail and poor service.
Overall: This place can potentially be a 4 star, even a 5 star place with some easy adjustments starting with thoroughly cleaning the place. Two good things I can say is that the owner seemed really nice and based on the nail art display, this place definitely has some true artist. However, the lack of staff professionalism, sanitation, and outdated methods (of prior service removal) outweighs the artistry. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, if you’re looking for quality 4 star service and to preserve your...
