Update: 6/26/2020 I got my ring back today!! The pictures do not do it justice. That ring and the associates areWHY you do business with DDD. One of a kind!
Edit: 6/19/2020 We have maintained our relationship with the former Diamond Doctor company which has been bought by Diamonds Direct. Several staff stayed with the company through the buyout. We were lucky enough to keep our relationship with Nicole and Leslie. Those two women are beyond phenomenal. Every aspect of any process dealing with Diamonds Direct is made so the customer feels in control, educated, comfortable, and helped. Our recent encounter with them was due a problem with my diamond (I chipped it with an unrepeatable, "just right" hit against something). We started the process of getting it replaced at the beginning of Jan. 2020. Our insurance company was causing lots of problems, then COVID happened. So, we are just now getting everything finished up. THANKFULLY Diamonds Direct hired a manager, Mark, that is a Veteran and has dealings with our insurance company they also kept Nicole on who frequently dealt with our specific insurance company when they were Diamond Doctor. These two people FOUGHT hard for us, our insurance company was giving EVERYONE severe hell. THANKFULLY, we had this great company behind us and they got us taken care of VERY WELL. During one of the visits Mark, Nicole, and Leslie were gone so they had the V.P., Yosi, help us. Y'all they care and want to keep you as a customer. DO NOT hesitate to have them as your jewler, you absolutely will not be disappointed.
Remarkable! My husband bought both my engagement ring and my wedding band from David at the Diamond Doctor. I bought his wedding band from there. Because we had such a phenomenal experience we have told several friends about them who were looking for wedding and engagement rings. Two of our friends used the Diamond Doctor and said they were forever grateful for us recommending the Diamond Doctor. My husband said that is where all of our jewelry will come from now on. He went to a lot of places before going to the Diamond Doctor. He said and I quote, "I actually enjoyed doing business with them it was a good experience and I don't feel cheated or ripped off." You cannot beat the price but more importantly the service is beyond the best in the business. They are honest, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and apparently care because they remember you even a year later when you come back in for the...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came in Saturday morning shopping for an engagement ring. My girlfriend and I entered very open minded, neither of us knew what we were looking for exactly, I had a vague budget, but my girlfriend is not the type to be moved by large diamonds, how pure the gold is, or how unique the cut may be. Our diamond expert was very knowledgeable, and as we shopped, he kept trying to tie in his and his wife's story into our ring shopping experience, on the surface there is nothing wrong with that, but it was obvious to us he was trying to align his relationship with his wife with ours. At the beginning of our ring shopping experience, his wife was "very picky and designed every detail of the ring" and at the end his wife was "just like your girlfriend, easy going and not very picky". Early on he called my girlfriend "plain" because she wasn’t wearing makeup and didn’t have her nails done (she's a nurse and isn't allowed to have fake or long nails and the constant washing of hands does not lend itself to palm olive-hand-model looking hands). Our Diamond expert also kept referring to my girlfriend’s hands as "paws" and I know he wasn't insulting her, but after that "plain" comment, that also rubbed me the wrong way. When my girlfriend was asked to step out of the room so that our diamond expert and I could speak about price and how soon I would receive the ring, he kept pushing a financing plan where I would have to open a Wells Fargo account, I was not interested in opening a Wells Fargo account. Our diamond expert also tried to sell us on a certain brand of band, we liked that brand’s bands and never asked to see other band options, but he tried his best to sell us the Diamonds Direct flavor of the week. While him and I spoke, he was pushing a particular diamond and when I said I would have an answer next week he kept doing the age-old salesman tactic of "well I can’t guarantee this diamond will be here next week unless you put money down today”, charming. My girlfriend doesn't want a natural diamond, each time we brought up lab made diamonds he would wave us away and talk about their deprecating value, how natural diamonds are "unique and natural like your love", and that “you just don’t want that”. He simply would not consider selling us a lab diamond, lest he be some fool’s gold peddler at a bazaar preying on some distant...
Read moreI’m a huge DD fan and have religiously recommended many people to shop here due to their warranties, promotions and other benefits. I’ve recommended my parents and they were able to get an upgrade for my mother’s engagement ring, and most recently one of my close friends to purchase jewelry for her wedding. I lost joy looking at my last engagement ring and I discussed it with my friend. She recommended Gwen specifically at the Dallas location to see if she can find me another diamond and I am so happy I did! Gwen has phenomenal communication and was able to find me a unicorn diamond! I am very picky and she has helped me find my forever ring! I don’t see any reason why I would ever get another upgrade! The dimensions are bigger than I even requested and the clarity is internally flawless. At first I was bit wary of the color because it was a J and my first one was a J as well which was what pushed me to get an upgrade because it was quite yellow in department store lighting but this one doesn’t even look like a J! We compared it with other diamonds she brought it that were J and this one shone more like a G. In addition, despite it not having an fluorescent, the diamond faces extremely white outside in the sunlight as well! Love my new diamond! We ended up going ahead and purchasing my wedding band as well which I love! I had initially picked out something else that was saved in my profile. It wasn’t exactly what I wanted but all the other ones just didn’t look right. Gwen went and brought out some bands (at my request of course, she’s not a pushy saleswoman) and she found my dream band! I had tried it on in the past multiple times actually and it just never felt right. This one ended up being perfect because the dimensions were different for my engagement ring and therefore meshed better together. I’m so happy we were able to make it work! Gwen was also great in terms of working with us on financing. Now everytime I look at my ring I have such immense joy and happiness!...
