My daughter is one of the top dancers at Preston Center dance although we have never been into the taco joint as a family we do send money on our daughters Apple Pay and she goes to taco joint with her friends. My daughter is in dance Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and sometimes Saturdays and Sundays. We’re in competition season now. She is also in the marching band in the HP independent school district. I was very disappointing and we were disappointed as a family when going in on Sunday because the students had rehearsal at the dance school and so we were going over to the shopping center anyway my first time in I was so happy to see all of the old album covers up on the walls. It was really nice having traveled halfway around the world in the music industry it was a very nice refreshing thing to see all of the old album covers . However, the service was terrible. The man at the register glared and he seemed angry. The other workers walked around and they seemed very angry and upset. Also, when we were there, a lady came over that worked there and began sweeping dust and debris from the floor back-and-forth in front of our booth and she continued doing that around the soda fountain also we wrapped up the rest of the food and left because the atmosphere was so terrible. Then someone that worked there must’ve began to mix up some cleaning solution and then it the odor from it, began the waft throughout the area where people were...
Read moreI really love the food here. Their queso is traditional and well balanced, the red salsa has a great flavor, and the quality of ingredients is high. I would give five stars if it weren’t for a service issue I’ve had with one particular employee at the Preston Center location. I have been to this location literally dozens of times. I have ordered chips and queso every time I’ve come. Every time that order has also come with a cup of their red salsa as well. However twice now I’ve had one particular employee at this location fail to include the salsa and tell me that it’s not included with that order and would be an additional charge of $.99. I wouldnt say he has ever been exactly rude, but definitely unhelpful. Also, he is the only employee here out of many who have served who has ever said this. This is not stipulated on the menu, nor has anyone else ever said this. The salsa has always just been automatically served. The same salsa is available at the salsa bar for free with little to-go cups. I would highly recommend better consistency and more clarity on the menu. $.99 is not a big deal one way or the other to me, I just want to know clearly what I’m supposed to expect. This seemingly small customer service let down is the only mark on an otherwise outstanding establishment. That’s what makes it stand out so glaringly. Taco Joint, you can and...
Read moreThis might be my favorite place to eat tex-mex in Dallas. I work close by and I eat taco joint at least twice a week every week. The first time I came I wasn’t sure but as I kept coming back I always go for the special (whatever it is that day.) Today was pork enchiladas and the best part was that I got to meet the owner Corey. He looks like Ted Lasso and kind of sounds like him too. Super humble guy and super humble honest good food. That’s it. It’s not expensive, not a lot of frills, just fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this spot if Tex mex is what you need to hit your spot. I must recommend this place to my friends and co workers and customers like 40x a week. It’s good for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner. I always come in the morning and get the lunch special. That probably throws them off because it’s breakfast time and I ask for lunch… but they always accommodate even though they often have to prepare sauces on the fly fresh that are meant to be served for lunch. They don’t make the big batch they make a small version just for me and that why I keep coming back because it’s that awesome and my #1 pick for Mexican Tex-mex in Texas. Also try the brisket nachos because it’s...
