I have had the absolute worst experience with this office. To start the front desk staff wasn't the most hospitable every time I showed up to my appointment (we'll give them that because we don't know what anyone is going through). I always ask for information about my bill and my insurance. I got the "we won't know until we bill your insurance" answer. I understood that because that's how insurances work. I wasn't consistently charged for my visits even though I needed to pay according to my insurance. I would ask for them to explain what was happening on their end since everything was so inconsistent and I wasn't able to get a proper answer from the front desk. They would ask a manager about but no one was able to give me further information. I was having some medical issues that required attention. My lab results were very delayed. I would call to check up on them. I kept getting a "they are in your app" and I would be looking at my app saying no. They would say "well you'll have to wait until your doctor sees them". I asked when that would be because I was in pain. They said "I don't know". I would periodically call for an update. My doctor had gone on vacation and the results hadn't been read. I asked if someone else could do it and they said they would have to schedule me to get all the labs done again. I asked how much is this going to cost me because I already paid the first time around. They quoted me a price that was 2.5 times higher than what my appointments had been. I asked for an explanation and no one could answer why. The price was only going to be for the visit and not the labs. I hadn't been charged that much before. No one could answer why there were so many inconsistencies. I ended up having to do the same tests again. I called for results and again they weren't able to give them to me. At this point I begged for the results to be given to me so I could seek help elsewhere. It took a week for them to return my request after several attempts to contact them. I ended up having to go to the ER. I got schedule for some test that my doctor had requested. When I showed up, I asked what they were for and I received the answer "I don't know, that's just what your doctor wants". I asked if there was anything in my chart that explained why these tests were requested. Nothing was found on my chart. I then asked how much this was going to cost me because my insurance did not cover these. They said "It says your insurance cover them, but we can't know until we bill". I knew my insurance wasn't going to cover them and expressed that so I asked for an estimate so I could financially prepare myself. I was not given any other answer than "I don't know". I figured this must be important since my doctor requested it. The exams were done by someone's first day that wasn't properly trained. They kept asking for help from another MA and the other MA wasn't willing to walk them through the steps. Months later, I receive a bill from them asking for a significant amount. I called and asked why and was told that this was how much I owned since my insurance didn't cover the tests. I asked what the purpose of the tests were and they weren't able to be give me a reason. My doctor hadn't explained the medical necessity for these tests. I hadn't received an explanation for these tests. I hadn't received a post op discussion of what these tests were for and why there were performed. I spoke to many front desk staff trying to figure this out with no luck. I would periodically call to check the status and was always hit with a "oh they aren't here to speak with you or they are with a patient". They would ask to leave a message and they would call me back. No callbacks. For weeks no callbacks from every level of management I was passed along to. I've been trying to solve this issue since November of last year. I ignored other reviews stating similar stories. Please don't let them do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been looking for a primary physician for a few months now being new in the city and found Kokoro wellness. I set TWO appointments with them for first visit. Both were canceled because according to them I wasn't confirmed...First appointment I scheduled online, I received the first patient's form to fill out via email but didn't filled out. That's something you normally do it in the office as well. I called same morning of the appointment date and they said my appointment was canceled and they only had a spot available again a week after! So I said no. After about a week a rescheduled a new appointment. This time I sent all my documents, copy of id and insurance, and filled out the patients form 5 days before my new appointment. A day later I return their call just to have them tell me my appointment was canceled again! Most inconvenient doctors office I've ever seen. Doesn't seem to me that their patient's health are a concern and a priority. That's a big red flag. Health should be prioritize. You make an appointment, doctors should make a priority to see you ASAP. But not here. They'll push you for another week, and another week. I see reviews saying how clean their office is, or how nice the doctors are. That's not what will save you in a moment you need quick response in a case of emergency, important checkups you need to do so you can take appropriate actions to prevent health problems from escalating. They are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis office is pretty, but run with such disorganization and dysfunction. My appointment for my annual physical was all the way back in July and it was for a 100% covered annual physical. I told them before and throughout the appointment that I am coming in for an annual routine physical, nothing more. When the appointment concluded, I asked multiple times whether I was good to go and made sure that I didn't need to pay anything and they confirmed. However, they decide 5 months later to send me a ridiculous statement with random charges, even though this is for an annual physical. Now they are saying that they will "investigate" for something that they messed up on and get back to me in 5+ business days. Unbelievable.
In addition to this nonsense, this particular appointment was also a mess. I was seen 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, causing me to be late to my next appointment afterward. Additionally, they had a trainee, who was not being overseen (the trainer straight up left the room), do my blood work. Then a few days later, they tell me that they messed up my blood work (it's almost like something like this could have been avoided if someone was given proper training) and said that I would have to come in for another appointment to redo it, which I ultimately decided not to do because of how disorganized they are.
Needless to say, I will not...
