Took my Polaris PB4 booster pump in for a seal replacement. The manager, Terry, diagnosed the issue right away and began tearing into it immediately while we had a nice conversation. He probably could’ve done the job blindfolded. Terry was the only person in the store and cheerfully helped numerous other customers as they trickled in. Within 30-40 minutes he had the thing repaired and had me on my way. Terry exceeded my expectations by quickly repairing the pump while I waited. The guy is a master. I fully expected to have to leave the pump. No charge for the labor and the part was only $27! I visit the store very often. Another longtime employee, Will, is also very knowledgeable and helpful. Read moreI can't find a place to rate Hayward filters so I will write it here. I am in the process of replacing my filter sand. Hayward specifies number 20 sand. I cannot find #20 sand. Leslie's has sand that they say is compatible but the package doesn't specify anything. I called Haywired tech support and sat on hold for 40 minutes. A recording told me someone would call back and disconnected. Finally, someone called me back. He was either on the worst headset ever or had me on speakerphone. His district manager, Even came into the store and said that he would address the problem, but there was no progress to a solution Miles, however, took the effort to search the inventory in other stores and found the part for me there. It was convenient for me to go pick it up on my way home from work and that solved the problem. He had my Polaris back to me in a day.
