What an AWFUL jewerly store. My husband purchased me earring and they came already unusable. You couldn't keep the clasp shut on the one earring. So ...I took them and paid to have it fixed. I got it back exactly the same way I took them in. Went in today and was told to PUSH the post down so they will click shut. Umm...you shouldn't need to do that. The post will weakened and fall off. That is not a normal practice to using jewerly. Good luck if you purchase from here. Regarding their response. When I brought the earring in for repair there was no response to me that this type of earring requires adjustments. The earrings were never worn even once due to there is an issue with the post. The other one was fine. But to tell me to just push down on the post is an awful way to solve a problem. Then if I listen to your poor directions and the post then weakens I'm sure that would be my fault. I will take them to VanScoys and have the necessary adjustments correctly done. Energetic, friendly and accommodating staff. First rate place for jewelry and to be a customer. Had exactly what I was looking for. I work night shift and Pass the store on the way home, but they have later open hours, so it makes it hard to just stop in. I look for what I want online so I can easy go in to pick it out and see before I buy. Danielle V. Extended an offer to just call her and she will meet me at the store during off hours to help. This is something I’m not accustomed too. With service like that, I’M SOLD. Also during these difficult times the staff and business went above and beyond to keep the store clean and sanitized. They wiped everything down between hand to hand contact and all had face masks on properly with sanitizer available for customers. They even temp. checked me at the door. Valentines is the best jewelry store around in NEPA. I put the quality of merchandise easily in the same league as Tiffany’s and others. They have Hearts on Fire and other high end items. That said, they can coordinate custom orders. They have good relationships and can entertain special asks, sizings, and work to meet the need of the customer. They recognize me when I go in and know what my wife likes and puts on her wish list. They know my kids and what they like. They also are a local business and not some corporate enterprise. As such, they’ll go out of their way to support requests, special purchases, timelines, and may even adjust hours for a customer if necessary when coordinated. Highly recommended.
