Let me just say it outright: Damascus Tattoo isn't just the best tattoo studio in the area, they're quite possibly the best in the WORLD. I'm not exaggerating. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. The studio is impeccably clean, professional, and buzzing with creative energy. But the real magic lies in the talent of their artists.
I've been to other studios before, and I always felt like I was being pushed towards a specific style or artist. Not at Damascus Tattoo. They truly listen to what you want. No matter your vision – whether you're dreaming of delicate watercolor florals, bold and vibrant traditional pieces, intricate geometric designs, realistic portraits, or anything in between – they have an artist perfectly suited to bring it to life.
Siabhan and the staff are experts at matching clients with the perfect artist. They took the time to understand my aesthetic, my inspiration, and the overall feel I was going for with my tattoo. They then paired me with Jon Roberts, and the results were beyond anything I could have imagined.
Jon's attention to detail was incredible. He captured every nuance of the reference photo I provided, and his work is absolutely breathtaking. The entire process was comfortable, professional, and I felt completely at ease knowing I was in the hands of a true master.
But it's not just about technical skill. Every artist at Damascus Tattoo is a true professional. They are passionate, dedicated, and committed to providing a safe and comfortable experience. They use only the highest quality inks and equipment, and their commitment to hygiene is evident.
If you're considering getting a tattoo – and especially if you're nervous about it – do yourself a favor and go to Damascus Tattoo. Don't settle for anything less than the best. They will transform your vision into a stunning piece of art that you'll be proud to wear for a lifetime.
Seriously, look no further. Damascus Tattoo is THE place to get tattooed. You...
Read moreIt's been over ten years since I got 2 tattoos from DTC, and I think the anger I have for these people will be as permanent as the tattoos.
My caveat for anyone wanting a tattoo here is this: be VERY specific in what you want, and don't close your eyes while they work.
The first one from Latos was unquestionably a beautiful tattoo. Yet while the subject was correct, the composition was NOT what I asked for.
A metaphor could be, you ask for a panther climbing your arm, he does a great panther but it's licking it's own anus. Then being told "how can you be mad, it's obviously a panther?!"
I was very happy after my first session, but after opening my eyes after the second and looking down, he entirely altered the premise, and it was too late to go back.
Once that was done, I switched artists to Roberts, and after the first session with him, I found the quality so bad I complained.
I was convinced it was just jitters on my part and to let him cook. Then he added color to what was meant to be black and grey. I wouldn't let him finish and have been walking around with an unfinished tattoo since.
These people have made some of the best tattoos I have ever seen. But they seem to care more about doing their art the way they want to do it rather than what their client wants.
There is a very good chance you can get a masterpiece out of these people, but DO NOT close your eyes while they work. Or you may end up with what they want to do, instead of what you asked for.
I added a star because at least the shop was clean and I didn't leave...
Read moreIt is amazing to me that a single tattoo parlor can be so full of talent. I followed Katie Silk here, but when I visit, I love to see the new art on the walls from not only their staple artists, but their rising talent. No matter what you're looking for, there is an artist here that can help you realize your vision.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It's almost 2023, and the days of the dingy tattoo dungeon are long gone. The shop has plenty of light, and is staffed by positive people, happy to help you stamp some unique art on your body.
If you're shopping around and notice that the artists here are a little more pricey, you're right. But you save money when you consider touch-ups, fills, or even cover-ups. I'm a cheap dude, but this is one thing that you should absolutely pay the extra money for!
Anyway. Love this shop. Love...
