Armed with a cup of coffee and some scrap-worthy gold ... I decided to spend my day driving to a bunch of gold buyers around Orange County to see which establishment (with tons of stars) was gonna make my day$$$ Luckily, my first stop was at Dana Point Gold & Coin because it was only a few minutes away. A very short time later, I walked out with a big fat check in my hand from a major bank ... PLUS, the satisfaction and confidence that I didn't get screwed over during the transaction. Especially, as a woman who was free-wheeling it without my boyfriend. Co-owner BRAD was super professional, positive, relaxed, informative, honest, and most importantly, realistic. He walked me through the entire process/facts which matched up with all of my gold-buying research/expectations. I know for a fact that I received more money here for my scrap gold than I would have at other establishments ... because I went to two renown jewelry appraisers the next day for other insurance appraisals and they offered me $100's less for the same scrap gold in weight/karats that I sold to DPGC. Bottom line, they care about how they treat you so that you will come back again which is unheard of in this business. Thanks again.

PS Just went back with another scrap gold item and spoke to co-owner Kevin - who could not stop cleaning his desk long enough to focus on my item or anything I said. When I told him I was a returning customer and how awesome my transaction was with Brad ... he even told me to "come back tomorrow when Brad is working." Totally disrespectful and a waste of time. So, not only are these dudes just plain kind and sincere but straight up ethical and more importantly empathetic to your situation. I had an excellent experience here - I brought in a large collection of old coins and Kevin was incredibly patient, good-humored, and fun to work with in assessing the value of the collection. He always answered my questions and helped to educate me in the areas where my knowledge was lacking.
